My family and I have been to this facility many times and have always been happy with our experience! Was feeling miserable yesterday and called ahead late in afternoon, the staff had me come in regardless of the fact they had been exceedingly busy that day! I know it was very near to closing. They were extremely kind, took their time with me, x-rays, breathing treatment, etc. We will definitely continue to use this office....in today's stressful times, I know it's easy to get frustrated, so glad their is still compassionate, patient, patient-care!

For urgent care, I think they do okay. They are listed as primary care but don’t have the first clue on management of a patient. 1) Attempted to have me complete an entire new patient packet, because it was a new year. This includes all past history, genetic/family history, and all medical history. I refused to do this for a cold, as an established patient, seen within the year for a full physical. 2) I think they are unaware that insurance allows 1 physical a year. All medication for chronic care (example: migraine prevention medication), are expected to be reviewed and prescribed for the year, (six months at a time is the norm and refills authorized through pharmacy). 3) When a refill is needed, coming back in for the refill is unnecessary. Prescribing 2 months is not helpful. 4) Requiring a patient to return for each chronic illness, separately, to get refills or treatment throughout the year is an abuse of insurance. “You will have to make another appointment for any other issues”. (Example. Migraine and asthma) As an established patient to walk in, I could have literally went out to the waiting room and checked in again. It’s about the fees to the insurance company. (My copayment is that low.) I have no doubt of their ability to treat acute problems related to non-life threatening illness, but for “PRIMARY CARE”, their “fee for service” is in direct conflict with managing chronic medical problems. The “see a specialist” is overkill, provides nothing but stress and anxiety. A primary ought to manage refilling prescriptions and treating diagnosed conditions. Seeing a specialist should be to diagnose and set up treatment. A primary’s responsibility is for continuity of care. I gave 2 stars instead of 1, because it’s clean and the people working their are following orders. I was generous. I wouldn’t recommend them for medical treatment beyond basic injuries. Nobody needs a doctor/PA for the common cold. This is the only review I have ever done... I felt this strongly regarding the issues and hope to persuade change or protection to patients who are looking for primary care. If the owner breaks hippa to respond in a personal matter regarding my visits, that would be one more problem with this place. I saw “the owner” refer to another reviewer’s patient care visit. To the owner: you do not have my permission to discuss my visits with google or anyone else. “They” called the review “personal”. This is not a “personal” review. My professional experience within medical field regarding patient management and care provides me a unique perspective of the “it’s a business” versus “it’s patient care”. Personally, I have changed primary doctors, because I require my primary to actually treat me like a patient and not an insurance code.

The unprofessional girl at the front desk turned my very sick 9 yr old grandson away because his parents were not with him. We were visiting from philadelphia and I chose Heritage because it was the closest to where we were staying. Even though I had my daughter text me insurance cards and permission, she still turned us away!!!! I don’t understand how an urgent care facility can turn away a sick child!!!!!! SHAME ON THEM
