Serving as a primary care provider in the Surf City area, Island Family Medicine sees mostly an appointment-driven patient population, however, they may support walk-in patients during certain hours. It appears as though their practice is routinely open 5 days a week at their clinic located at 13567A NC-50 with today's hours being 8:00AM to 5:00PM. It is certainly best to call the clinic to schedule an appointment, or ask about walk-in availability.

I started seeing Dr. Blair and Dr. Davis many years ago. I was so impressed that I recommended them to all my friends and family. They all agree this is the best Primary Care facility and these are the best Doctors they have even been to.

The front office staff was very uncaring and rude. My daughter was having what turned out to be a serious medical issue that required hospitalization. I called the office 2 times for guidance and was given none. I was told to wait until next Wednesday and bring her in to the office, which would have been 6 days later. When I complained to the office manager, she basically said there was not a problem. I then said that I think Dr. Blair would be interested to know about the rude and uncaring behavior of his front office staff. She then said, "well good luck cause he's my husband". What??? I was happy with Dr. Blair and I feel that my daughter received good care whenever she saw him. He was not the problem, but there is never any excuse for the front people not to give guidance to or try and work a patient in who is having issues. If I had taken their direction and waited 6 days to see a doctor, my daughter may not be here today. Lastly, how unprofessional is it to use the fact that you are married to the doctor as an intimidation factor in responding to a patients concerns. I feel sorry for Dr. Blair, he seems like a good man. If his wife is that rude, unprofessional and ignorant in a professional work environment: I can only imagine what he has to deal with at home.
