WARNING!!!! DON'T GO TO THE SANCTUARY WITHOUT KNOWING THIS FIRST! I don't think everyone realizes that the Sanctuary charges you at a hospital rate for your x-rays/MRI/etc which is almost TRIPLE what you will pay if you have it elsewhere. I was absolutely floored that I was referred to a physician at the Sanctuary, they sent me for x-rays before seeing the doctor (only to discover that the x-ray was CLEARLY not indicated for my issue) and then required a MRI for diagnosis. Why was the x-ray ordered if it wouldn't provide any of the needed results? Clearly sounds like overcharging and milking insurance companies with upcoding. I had the MRI elsewhere because as pulling up for my appointment, I saw the email saying I owed about $2,500 for my copay when I know my insurance copay should have been about $750. Thankfully I asked questions and then went to their other facility on College Pkwy and only had to pay the $750. Now, I am getting hit for an additional $300 for the UNNECESSARY x-ray that should have been covered by insurance. My insurance company let me know that The Sanctuary bills at a hospital rate!
