I have been a patient of Dr.Barnard’s for years. I’m in the medical field. DrBarnard and Kellie And other staff have always been awesome. I have NEVER waited a long time. Dr B has always been upfront with me. He is a very educated talented doctor. He does order unnecessary tests. Give him a try. I really think you will be pleasantly surprised. LeAnne McElwain

I have been seeing Dr. Barnard for four years now and I refuse to deal with him or his nursing staff any longer. Not another ounce of my time shall they WASTE. I cannot believe the amount of issues I have had with a few of the people in his circle and under his direction. If you want to constantly have your prescriptions screwed up between the type you are supposed to be taking getting mixed up in their system or the approval for refill drama every time it is due, call them. They will blame it on Walgreens or CVS and take Zero accountability. If you want to have a Dr. who is Extremely rehearsed in his lines during his record time of 3 minute per each visit and unprofessional as it gets, call these people, if you want to call and talk to a real person on an important question and get automated voicemail with no return phone calls for 3 days or longer or as of today none at all over 2 weeks, call these people. If you want a Dr. who stops your prescriptions out of nowhere because he hasn't seen you in a year, "and not your fault by the way", call these people. I'm just saying, My Dentist sets 6 months return visit or follow up appointment to check on me, where is this service in Lees Summit. You leave Dr. Barnards office and ask if you need a return appointment, they will say no to your face and pull your script on your last pill and have you trying to mayday from work to get it right, while talking to voicemail. Not another Ounce of my time or my Money! Do not say I didn't tell you, so Lees Summit People and I bet I am not alone in my frustration with this Dr./Dr.'s Staff and Services they provide. TERRIBLE!

Unethical and money driven practice. Tried to get diabetic and blood pressure medications refilled and they refused to refill them I paid a bal of $74. Offered to pay of Wednesday which is payday and was told until its paid my scripts would not be called in. I am unable to find a new doctor during these times of covid-19. Will not be returning now it's about the lack of care and urgency about their patients.

Called to get a refill on my prescriptions and told that until I pay my $74 bill my scripts would not be called in. I let them know during the times I was unable to pay my bill until Wednesday (payday) and was told sorry but until your bill is paid this stands. I am unable to find a new doctor during the Covid-19 crisis and need my blood pressure and diabetes medications refilled. I was not offered a payment plan nor an alternative plan. Poor ethical practices, uncaring and warning anyone considering this practice to stay away!! Money driven!! Clearly patient care is not a priority.

Took my child with special needs to see the doctor they made a referral later contacted to see if we follow through and referral by sending as a letter certified, in the letter they stated they would have to take action if we didn't call them back regarding the referral. Spoke with the director there, pleasant person, and there was no resolution. They believe it's okay to make a referral and to threaten action against you which means a hotline to the state if you don't get back with him and the time they think you should get back with him regardless of what's going on with the referral source.
