Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care, Pleasant Grove

The front office staff was great, friendly, and helpful. Unfortunately, my experience with the medical staff was very disappointing. The medical assistant, Emily Velazquez, assisted both of my babies, who were not feeling well. She spoke to them as if they were adults rather than toddlers and seemed to expect them to do things they were not developmentally capable of doing, especially while they were sick and uncomfortable. I felt she lacked compassion, patience, and understanding when working with young children. Her attitude made it seem as though she did not want to be there, which was disappointing when caring for sick babies. I was also dissatisfied with the care provided by the nurse practitioner, Arquimedes Hernandez Perez, NP. I felt that my boys were not thoroughly examined. He checked their ears and mouths with a tongue depressor, then listened to their lungs over their clothing for only a couple of seconds before stating that they were fine. I did not feel that enough time or effort was taken to properly evaluate their symptoms or consider whether they could have the flu, COVID-19, or RSV. As a parent, I expect my children to be treated with compassion and to receive a thorough evaluation when they are sick. Unfortunately, I left feeling that my concerns were not adequately addressed and that my boys did not receive the level of care and attention they deserved. Although the front office staff was wonderful, the experience with the medical staff left me disappointed. I hope Little Spurs takes this feedback seriously and works toward providing more compassionate, patient-centered care for young children and their families.

Three of my babies werent feelibg well and had to book an appointment right away when my oldest said she felt like she was gonna fall everytime she walked. The nurse who asked questions about my girls was really friendly, i believe her name is Emily. But the doctor who checked my girls didnt really ask questions and somehow knew what they had in 5 minutes or so. Even my oldest was confused on how she barley asked questions and cut me off when i was teying to give her information about my oldest waking up drenched in sweat. We did not like that although she sounded friendly we felt ignored.

I won’t ever regret a visit to the little spurs clinic in pleasant grove . Every single time I take my kids for any kids of medical concern,  they treat them and me with so much care and love.  Thank you to the staff that took amazing care of my baby today. I am truly grateful to each and every one of them.

Walked in , didn’t wait too long Doctor and nurse was friendly and did a good job attending my son. Thank you so much.

My son woke up with a pink eye. The care and availability was quick and great. Did not have a long wait time. And everyone was helpful and generous.

Our provider went above and beyond answering all the questions I had she was so awesome getting my son comfortable for his check up, she was so patient and friendly.

Our experience was exceptional. The staff were incredibly attentive and made my child feel at ease and entertained. I highly recommend their services and plan to return in the future.
