If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. Miami Valley Hospital South is an emergency room, commonly called an E.R., providing critical and life saving healthcare services to patients throughout theCenterville area through their location at2400 Miami Valley Dr. They are required by law to be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even on national holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
While their availability can be enticing, you should really only visit an E.R. if you absolutely have to as they can be quite expensive and have much longer wait times than an walk-in urgent care center. In fact, some insurance carriers have begun to refuse paying for emergency room visits that were in fact non-emergent. An interesting fact that about 50% of emergency room diagnosis could be addressed at a quicker, less expensive urgent care center.

Same day surgery; daughter waited for dr for 2 hours to come talk with her on Friday after sds surgery. Here it is 36 hours later I still know nothing nor has the hospital called to check up on me after breaking 3 bones in my foot and having same day surgery still don’t know what he did because it was Friday- he and staff gave me the worst care. the staff was in such a hurry that the took me to bathroom after my surgery then wheeled me to my car without ALLOWING ME TO GET DRESSED TO PUT A COAT ON IN 30 degree weather or to get my valuables. Nurse MARY from post op was so quick to wheel me to my car that while putting on wheel Chair brake she got the crutches which fell on my freshly operated foot thank GOODNESS I HAVE witnesses. The level of care was the worst ever! Everyone wants to know how my surgery went and what the dr did BUT because he never spoke with us and never answered the call from staff, the only news I have to report to family, friends, social media, lawyers is the lousy care I received after being operated on my level of pain is also out of this world. I don’t have a history I WILL CONTINUE SO THIS DOESNT HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE.
