I was extremely disappointed with this doctor’s attitude and lack of empathy. When we tried to ask questions about repeating a test our daughter had undergone just two weeks earlier, which had been a distressing experience for her, he repeatedly interrupted us and kept bringing up how we pay insurance every month and how he didn’t understand why parents in this country don’t want tests. What made the interaction even worse was his use of a story about a baby whose parents supposedly didn’t want to proceed with something, only for the baby to eventually require hospitalization. In the middle of an already stressful situation with our sick child, this came across as blatant guilt-tripping and an attempt to scare us into compliance rather than explain the medical reasoning behind his recommendation. We were not refusing medical care. We were trying to explain our daughter’s previous experience and understand why the test needed to be repeated. There is a huge difference between explaining the risks of not testing and using another child’s frightening story to make worried parents feel guilty. We also had to mention our daughter’s neck pain multiple times before he finally examined that area, which made the lack of listening even more concerning. Doctors have every right to recommend tests they believe are medically necessary, and parents should be willing to listen to those recommendations. But parents also have the right to ask questions and understand their child’s care without being interrupted, judged, or guilt-tripped. Bringing up insurance payments and using a story about a hospitalized baby was completely inappropriate in this conversation. We came in worried about our daughter and deserved a thorough assessment, clear explanations, and basic respect—not a lecture about insurance or an attempt to make us feel like irresponsible parents for asking questions. I hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously. Medical expertise matters, but so do empathy, listening, and respectful communication.

We always go to New Med for great care from all the doctors, and treatments that help us get well . They provide all the services we need.

First time needing immediate care. Staff is friendly and didn’t have to wait long. Listened and addressed questions and concerns. Will continue to make appointments here.

Needed urgent care and was very happy with the care and thoroughness of the staff. They were very thoughtful, helpful and made me feel comfortable.

Staff were all great and friendly. They handled everything I needed and Doctor was amazing with prescribing me something for my pain. Doctor Brian Harvey was amazing!

I Was Seen At The New Med Immediate Care Center In Rolling Meadows And Had Another Great Experience With Them!! The Girls At The Front Desk Staff Were Warm And Welcoming And Brought Me Back To The Exam Room With Hardly No Wait Time…Vitals Were Taken Then I Was Seen By P.A. David Who Once Again Was Warm And Welcoming!! I Stated My Issue To Him And He Understood Completely…He Then Prescribed The Medication That I Needed To Get Better!! I Want To Thank The Whole Staff For Their Care!!  😊😊

Needed a basic physical for work. Scheduling online was easy and convenient. Was in and out within 20 minutes.

I am a teacher and needed to get in quick to make sure I didn’t have strep. The staff and NP were very attentive. I was very fortunate to be able to be seen late on a Sunday night before closing. I appreciate their care and concern.
