What patients are saying...

Came in for ear pain that started the day prior but got progressively worse over night and my ear was swollen shut when I went in. I was trying to explain that when I went in for my appointment but the provider was in the room for a minutes max, looked in both ears and said “swimmers ear I’m gonna prescribe drops” and that was it she did not ask if I had any questions or anything along those lines. I grabbed the drops on my lunch break and tried to put them in but they would not go into my ear  so I called the office to ask the recommendation and they prescribed and oral medication. I failed the get the drops to sink into my ear again that night so I went back on the next morning asking if someone could help me get them in. The nurse that pulled me to the back just told me I need to take the oral medication and keep doing the drops because they’ll help the swelling. My problem was not the care plan they put me on it was the lack of bedside manner from the nurse that brought me back during the original visit barely looking my way while speaking to me and the provider who didn’t take the time to ask about my questions or concerns or really spend much time in the room at all. Additionally when I went back all I asked was for someone to help me get the drops in my ear. I understand healthcare providers can be overworked especially when in an urgent care environment but if I am going to the doctors because I’m an extreme pain, it’s super frustrating to feel like I’m not being heard and like everyone in the office is being dismissive. I ended up making an appointment at a walk-in clinic elsewhere and explained to the doctor that I was having trouble getting the eardrops in and felt like my pain was getting worse, and they took the time to help me get the eardrops down into my swollen ear and also checked the other ear, cleaned out an earwax impaction and ended up, prescribing me more drops because I had to start of an infection in the other ear. Had I not gone somewhere else and been given actual attention for my appointment my other ear, most likely would have gotten to the state that my infected ear is in currently.

This urgent care always has the best and most friendly staff. My only issue is the wait time. I always go online to schedule ahead of time (in this instance, 24 hrs earlier for a sports physical). We ended up having a 45 minute wait, which seems to defeat the purpose of scheduling the appointment ahead of time :(

First one in after they opened, no wait, friendly staff, quick and easy, BUT being the first one in , id assume cleaning would have been done while they were closed, but dirt on the floor, like half a band aid tab, hair, and general dirt, the bottoms of the machines and tables had “stuff” splattered on the bases that looked old… i would think a scrubbing of medical equipment would be done at frequent intervals, the used needles n stuff box was filled with old bloody needles and garbage.  Counters had dirt and debris on them.  Just enough to notice.  The place just needs a deep cleaning, and to be cleaned EVERY Night.

It took a long time to be seen. My appointment was at 8:55 and I didn’t leave the office until 10:40. Not good.

Call to check possible diagnose blood clot in calf and asked if a dopler was available. Got there (in and out in 10 min) and related it could be clot or nerve and dopler would be available down the street (ER). total waste of time and money since they arent connected to ER them and paying again for their exam and services. it was a clot.

The nurse was rude when I asked a simple question. He seemed impatient, was rushing through everything, and never made eye contact with me. I felt like my concerns weren’t taken seriously, and the interaction was unprofessional. Based on my experience, I would not recommend him.

I walked into the office on a Sunday afternoon about two hours before the office closed.  They had me sign in on my phone with a QRC.  It was a bit redundant, since I have been in many times and I still had to take photos of all my insurance cards, which I know they have had on file.  I wa Ted about 10-15 minutes before being called back for Check-in, which I considered very reasonable as a walk-in.  The admin and check-in staff were very nice.  The PA or Doctor I saw was matter-of-fact and to the point, very efficient.  He asked relevant questions and came in with the results of the test they had run. All-in-all a good, quick and successful visit.
