The PA was doing a sports physical on my son. I’ve been in healthcare for 15 years and manage a high volume office. It seemed to be he was tired or just not happy to be there or burnt out. When he was telling my son what to do he did not once look up to actually watch if there were deficits while completing. He just checked off the boxes and was in the room less than five minutes. It’s worrisome if there was an actual need for further evaluation and it was not found due to the provider not paying attention. My son who is 16 noticed it and said something to me as well. I know healthcare isn’t easy but we have to remember why we’re here. Thank you.
