Had an ongoing sinus infection. Came in to try to get some relief. Scheduled online and it was easy enough that they text me to let me know to start heading to the location. Once there I didn’t have to fill out any paperwork, just notified them who I was. Was asked to pay my co-pay and to have a seat. While waiting, I was looking around and noticed that there is quite a few spiderwebs in the lights and a long the reception desk, especially behind the red plexi. There are an awful light of computer generated signs that are taped everywhere and starting to rip. Once called the associate that helped me was very kind and was nice to speak with. Took my vitals and escorted me to a room. Waited about five minutes for the PAC to arrive and she asked the normal questions was told that I had a viral sinus problem. I asked about a work notice since I was out of work for more than a few days. She said that she could write one up for me for the times that I missed. I feel the treatment was great and she informed me of a lot of good things to do to help believe the symptoms of my sinuses. I’m already starting to feel better due to those. Once we left, she told us that we didn’t have to wait for any processing since there was no prescriptions to be done. We ended up waiting because we wanted to get the Work note so the receptionist informed us that they couldn’t write a work note but for one single day. I feel everyone in the office should know what could be done versus saying what will be done. Other than being upset about the note and the cleanliness of the front area I think next car is great.

It is easy to schedule an appointment, and the wait time is not long either. However, that doesn’t make a difference if the care is subpar. The provider was utilizing ChatGPT to look up information about a possible diagnosis, a diagnosis I mentioned myself. Frankly, I was given the impression that the provider was unsure about what could possibly be wrong. I had to repeat my symptoms multiple times, but she did not suggest any possible ailments. She gave me general ideas such as: drink more water, take vitamins, and see my primary care. She could not draw my blood or order a blood test referral either. I did not receive any checkout discharge papers. She did not even have a piece a paper, she wrote down the name of one condition on a paper towel/tissue. This was a disappointing experience, and unlike anytime I’ve come before (this was the first time I’ve met this provider). I understand there are limitations with Urgent Care, but this was the first time I’ve ever visited and they were completely unable to help or provide a referral.

Urgent Cares are typically not fantastic and I tend to avoid them as much as possible. However, I had a specific goal in mind with my visit and I was very happy to find staff who were efficient, attentive, and willing to listen. The NP was very competent and had great bedside manner. All of the staff were very kind and my visit was quick once I was seen. I got exactly what I needed and I appreciated all the help. Truly an idea representation of an urgent care experience and a great urgent care team.
