I was feeling very sick on Wednesday and called for a same day appointment at my doctor's office. I was told I couldn't be seen in the office because my symptoms (cough, sore throat) might br covid. I was instructed to try an immediate care center. I arrived at the woods drive center 1pm and they were not taking any more patients. This is NOT IMMEDIATE CARE! I was told to try another center, but I had come from the Evanston location where there was a 5 HOUR WAIT! Again, not immediate care! So I went to the Northwestern Medicine immediate care in Evanston and was seen after waiting about an hour and a half. They were very busy as well, but properly staffed and functioning as a immediate care center should.I will just go to a Northwestern center in the future . You can call each center individually and get real time accurate information from them. If you call Evanston you get a call center rep who isn't helpful at all.

I arrived at the clinic at 7:30 pm, closing time is 8:00 pm. They wouldn't take my 94 year old mother, they "were too busy". I was told I could take her to an ER. She probably only has conjunctivitis.
