My last appointment was extremely disappointing. I called on Monday to make an appointment for my refill of Albuterol medicine for my asthma and I told them my insurance changed - gave them the new contact information to verify the insurance - because they were closed on the weekend and my appointment was on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. I get a voice mail message on Thursday that all was ok, and my appointment was confirmed. So on Saturday I go in and was told my insurance was not accepted and I had to pay for my visit. Now, I didn't want to pay for my visit when my insurance covered it. But, I needed my medicine. Even though, I called ahead of time, gave them the information, received a call all was fine, to only be told that afternoon (appt. 1:30 p.m.) that my insurance was not accepted. But, I got a little upset because they should have called me or left a message, not have me come in and then tell me to pay for it all. So I asked to speak to the manager or a doctor thinking they would figure this all out seeing me and my family of 4 have been coming there for over 5 years. I just needed a refill on my asthma medicine. So the PA comes out and tells me that since all of the doctors that I've seen is no longer there, and she's never seen me there was no way she could prescribe medication for me. This is what pissed me off. I asked her don't you still have my medical records there. Can't you read? I don't need strong drugs - simply an inhaler refill! What does a doctor leaving the practice have to do with me as a patient of the facility? I've never heard of this nonsense before! It's not like I'm asking for a pain medicine. It's simply Albuterol (an inhaler for asthma) unbelievable! I was so pissed off of the incompetence and ignorance of the PA they had working there. It's no wonder all of the "good" doctors have actually left this practice. There is clearly a disconnection of them and the people they are suppose to serve. I'll never go there again because I expect people to do what they say they are going to do when handling my medical records/information and health. They have become nothing but, a bunch of money hungry clowns! I do not expect this level of incompetence when I go some place to spend my money - and especially on health care! I'd go any place but there. Beware! Only the Clowns work there!
