With only a few walk-in clinics nearby, Quick Care Med may be your best option for immediate care inInverness. They are open today from 8:00AM to 8:00PM, as well as 7 days a week. As long as you visit them during their business hours, you should be able to walk right into 1907 Hwy 44 W and be seen relatively quickly. The national average for patients waiting at an urgent care is between 15-30 minutes, so hopefully it shouldn't be too long of a wait.
As part of the Quick Care Med group, they have a sister facility in Homosassa Springs 14 miles away that you may want to consider if the wait gets too long.

I expected to wait, it was New Years Eve day. Check in was quick and the desk staff are very cordial and helpful. Once I was called in to be seen, all went quickly & smoothly. The respiratory & xray techs were friendly and showed compassion. The star of the day was my PA. Alisha Dotson! She was so sweet, a good listener, very knowledgeable and took her time with me. She explained everything in great detail, and when I was discharged , I felt that I was in good hands. To my surprise, she actually called me twice to check up on me, the first call being New Years Eve Day!!! I have never encountered such dedication at an urgent care facility. I highly recommended Quick Care Med!!!

There electronic check in pad wants your life history. It is the worst ever for being user friendly. Standing there for 10 minutes is not something you want to do when your not feeling well. And when I needed to back up a page I had to start over again. Then they told me since I hadn't met my medicare deductible for the year I would have to pay my entire 160.00 deductible up front for a service they normally charge $90 for. At that point I left.
