I needed a lab drawn, ordered by my allergist when I was having a reaction.  Unfortunately you could not do this, and no lab is open on the weekends

I scheduled a sports physical appointment and still waited an hour for my kids to be seen, despite having an appointment. While I understand delays can happen, the biggest concern was what happened during the visit. The provider asked if my son had any rashes and he showed her one he had on his face, I mentioned it was from the dogs paw and she seemed a little concerned and told me to keep an eye on it and come back tomorrow if it got worse. I wish she simply wouldn’t have explained that evaluating and treating the rash would require a separate visit and an additional charge, I would have gladly paid for it at that time rather than having to return the next day and wait all over again. Unfortunately, the rash significantly worsened over the next several hours, with increased swelling and concern for infection. The rash is next to his eye and all the urgent cares are closed now. It was frustrating to leave knowing there was a potentially progressing issue that wasn’t addressed, especially since we were already in the office. In the morning, we will be going somewhere else to get the infection addressed. I understand that billing rules and visit types have limitations, but I wish there had been more flexibility or clearer communication so my son could have received timely care without needing another visit or an evening of additional discomfort while I laid awake concerned for his face.

The staff were all very kind and friendly. I work in healthcare, so I was a little surprised by some parts of my visit. After waiting in the exam room for about 40 minutes, the doctor entered without knocking, which caught me off guard. She then pulled down my eyelids without wearing gloves, even though I was there because I believed I had an eye infection. That didn’t feel sanitary to me. She also told me she didn’t see any difference between my eyes, despite one eye being visibly swollen and droopy with noticeable redness on the eyelid. Overall, the staff were great, but I felt the exam itself could have been handled more professionally.
