While the staff is great and very helpful, the care was great. Please note - they consider this place an extension of the hospital, and charge for an "urgent care - ER visit" AND also the doctors are contractors, so you will also get a separate invoice from the doctor (which may or may not be in network). The charges are almost 4 times more than a separate stand alone Urgent Care facility.

Beware If you have meridian insurance!! I went to Urgicare today for possible broken ribs which I did have. I was asked when I checked in if I had meridian which I do. Saw the doctor. Had multiple X-rays. I was told to check out with front desk as I was leaving and THEN I’m told meridian might not pay because they’re considered out of network. And if not, im responsible for all charges. They couldn’t of told me this when I checked in because if they had I would of gone somewhere else.

Two weeks after I took my 3 yr old there on a Sunday morning because he had been running a high fever for several days, I got a bill for an Emergency Room visit of over $500. When I called to notify them that it was UrgiCare instead, I was told that his record said UrgiCare but it costs that much just to walk in the door. Unbelievable. It sounds like insurance fraud to me since we have used that facility several times, and I never have been charged that exorbitant amount.

know that when you go here, your insurance will be BILLED AS an ER visit. Your copay will be higher than an Urgicare! Frustrating to get an ER bill months after being seen.
