My wife called and made my son an appointment for 1:50 p.m. I made sure we arrived and checked in before his appointment time. At 2:15 p.m., I asked why it was taking so long to get my son to the back. I was told there were several people still in front of us who needed to be seen. I came back up at 2:20 p.m. to see how much longer it would be before my son got seen. I let the receptionist know we had an appointment at 1:50 p.m. The receptionist told me it was because there were walk-ins in front of me. I asked the receptionist why they were taking walk-ins before people who booked appointments. I was told the walk-ins arrived before me so they get seen first. I was also told this in an urgent care facility. I told her that they needed to just do walk-ins and not book appointments if this is how they were going to run the clinic. I was told I could have my appointment rescheduled for tomorrow. I told the receptionist I was here because my son was sick and needed to be seen. I was finally taken to the back at 2:32 p.m. It still took the doctor over 30 minutes to see my son. I understand this is an urgent care facility, but don't book appointments if you're not going to honor them. If I were to show up 40 minutes late to my appointment, it would be canceled, and I would have to reschedule it. But when it's the clinic, who's 40 minutes behind your scheduled appointment, they tell you that you have to just sit there and be patient. This is ridiculous.

The nurse who gave my children shots was really rough. Both of my kids have swollen knots on their legs and bruising. They bled through their band-aids. I also made sure to give them both Motrin prior to the shots (about 30-45 min before their appointment). Imagine if I hadn't. While the Dr was fine and the staff seemed friendly this experience made me want to warn other parents. We will not continue care past this first visit. I am a mother of 5 and have never experienced anything like this with my other children. I am appalled that anyone would cause so much pain to two small children. I heard other kids screaming in the back while we were waiting and thought, kids do that. Nope, those screams were well founded and I would highly suggest looking elsewhere for care for your children.
