Went to Ultramed Urgent Care as a referral from my Doctor to get a COVID test for surgery.
If you have ever had a COVID test you know that it is NOT pleasant. Several hours after my test was done I received a call and was told that the test tubes that they used were faulty and that they were getting new ones and I would have to come back to have the test re-done. Not only is my time valuable and I would have to make time to go back, I certainly did not want to have the test done again, twice in one day. Completely unacceptable. I did speak to my Doctors office to let them know what happend and suggest that they find another facility to send their surgery patients to. I cancelled my appointment and went to another provider. Also, Ultra Med does not file your insurance claim for the $180.00 for the test. You have to pay upfront and file your claim with your Insurance company and get a refund. Which is fine, however, they did not tell me that when they made the appointment. They told me once I was there.
