I was treated well and quickly at Med Express on June 27, 2024 - but - I was misdiagnosed after two chest xrays as having a form of pneumonia. I was ordered an antibiotic that was listed as "black boxed" in medical publications and dangerous for people over 60 (I am 75.) I became very ill after 1 pill. I called to the doctor at Med Express and he told me to go to the ER. The hospital ER did their own xrays and NO congestion was found in my lungs = no pneumonia at all. So the dangerous medication was completely unnecessary. I am very disappointed by this misdiagnosis. Is the xray equipment at this Med Express faulty? Are medications investigated before prescribing? This issue should be addressed immediately. I DO NOT AGREE FOR THIS REVIEW TO BE PUBLISHED PUBLICLY just reviewed with provided to Med Express Urgent Care at the facility I visited.

I was only here for a blood Tb test. Waited 30 minutes. All they had to do was get a vein and draw a few vials of blood. The phlebotomist failed in two tries to draw blood. She was trying to balance the vials on a round stool. They kept almost falling off to the ground. Finally, she had to get a nurse in to try. It took the second person two more times before they finally got the blood. This included the second nurse tearing out the butterfly needle while she was switching vials, and having to redo the needle. At that point, they thought they had enough blood to do the test. But of course not. They hadn’t gotten enough blood for the test. So they asked me to return the next day, which I did. Now it’s their mistake, so how do they handle the problem? You come in to the reception area. They tell you to go out to your car and call in. Great customer service. So I did. Got hung up on. Called back and got put back on hold for 9 minutes. Dealt with reception again (same lady who told me to leave earlier). She took my info and told me to come in with my ID. I did. Another lady was at reception. She then told me to leave and call in from my car. I told her that I was asked to come in by the other lady. This is just the worst place ever. I’m only here for a pre-employment physical. If I didn’t have to be here, I would recommend that this place be shunned by everyone in Lancaster County. This place has earned a lifetime recommendation to be avoided if at all possible.
