Scheduling was easy, as well as check-in. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and patient at my child’s visit. Prior to the appointment, the receptionist worked with me contacting my insurance to confirm I wouldn’t be charged for the visit since we met our family catastrophic cap for the year with our insurance plan. The assistant was kind and didn’t rush my son when he needed longer to do the pulse ox. The provider answered all my questions and did her best to take care of my son’s medical needs. Overall, very pleased with the office and care received. Nice to find an urgent care facility that specializes in pediatrics, and have such a pleasant experience with my special needs child’s care.

I would have loved to leave a 5-star review because the rest of our experience was positive, but unfortunately the nurse practitioner completely changed that. I understand that working with children can be challenging. Kids don’t always cooperate, and I know that can be frustrating. However, that is part of working in pediatric healthcare. The way the nurse practitioner spoke to our child and to my husband and me was unnecessarily harsh, dismissive, and unprofessional. For example saying to us “It’s not a matter of if I’m going to do it, it’s how I’m going to do it.” Again I totally get it, I work in the healthcare field, but at the end of the day these are children, sick children at that.  As parents, we brought our child to a pediatric urgent care expecting compassionate, patient care—not to feel as though we were being scolded. Her bedside manner made an already stressful situation much more difficult. Because of this experience, we will be making the drive to the Madison location for any future pediatric urgent care needs. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no family should leave feeling the way we did. I hope she doesn’t treat all patients that way because ultimately is people like her who make white coat syndrome such worse.

I waited for 3 hours before being seen. The nurse brought another family in that arrived an hour after we did.

Every person I met was fantastic. Check in was flawless, and the nurse and provider were so so wonderful. The office was really dirty however. The bathroom had feces under the changing table on the wall, the walls in the actual room were completely covered in marks and gunk. It didn’t feel clean at all.
