Walked in at 8:30 am sick. Wellsprings has been my doctor for the past 6 years. Was given an appointment for 9:45 am if I would stay in the building. Was through triage at 9:00 am and returned to lobby to wait. 9:45 came and went, 10:00 am came and went, 10:15 am came and went, 10:30 am came and went. Starting at 10:10 am, I returned to the front desk to find out what the hold up was. I did this 3 times and my husband finally went up at 10:30 am. People who came in after me were going in before me. There were 3 people in the lobby at 10:30 am and more people were arriving for scheduled appointments. I was forced to assert myself with the office manager, who was rude and pretentious. Since I had nothing to eat or drink and I am a pre-diabetic, my sugar level was going down to a crash level. Only after all of this a room became available. My husband told them that I am a 70 year old woman who is pre-diabetic and my sugar levels were crashing. They ran a strep test immediately so I could drink some tea with sugar. I, also, have a condition known as Crohn's and have been told that when I get sick to immediately go to the doctor's. I waited a total of 2 hours and 45 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. This is totally unacceptable. I could have gone to the ER and been seen faster than at this doctor's office. I consider this a totally abusive situation for an elderly person to go through. I also noticed a complete staff turnover since my last visit. One final item, during the visit I noticed that the records were incomplete, in particular the medicine allergies list. Mind you I understand errors but some of the medicines I react to could cause significant problems for me. I am informing you of this because 1) I am an elderly person who felt totally abused by an unresponsive and uncaring staff and 2) poor record keeping which leave their patients at risk....
