On-demand medicine is leading a customer experience and access revolution in healthcare through strategic partnerships and sophisticated data insights. Since 2008, the ConvUrgentCare® Symposium has gathered healthcare leaders into a community around the increasing consumerization of medical care.
This year, UCP Merchant Medicine and Solv Health joined forces to bring healthcare innovators the most cutting-edge conference in convenient care.
Here’s a recap of what happened at this year’s ConvUrgentCare Symposium.
1. Nearly 150 healthcare professionals gathered for this exclusive event
For the 14th annual ConvUrgentCare Symposium, we met at the iconic Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, Arizona. Approximately 150 senior executives who have an interest in on-demand medicine—most of whom are senior leaders from health systems, large medical groups and large urgent care chains gathered to discuss the future of healthcare.
Executives from brands like Banner Health, NextCare Urgent Care, Next Level Urgent Care, PhysicianOne Urgent Care, Atrium Health, Premier Health, Ochsner Health, UCHealth, and WellSpan Health were all in attendance.
We also invited executives from health plans, private equity, and academia to further build a dynamic experience and community around the on-demand healthcare space.
2. The sessions were enlightening and forward-thinking
The Symposium brings together healthcare leaders for multiple days of forward-thinking talks and conversations to inspire innovations in on-demand healthcare.
This year’s theme was The Decade of Convenient Care. Speaker sessions focused on three key topics: Patient Experience, Strategic Partnerships, and Data Insights.
There were 16 total sessions spread across 3 days of learning. Every presentation was rich with insights and actionable takeaways. Here’s a quick sampling of some of the standout sessions.

Dan Buettner Jr, Blue Zones

Dan Buettner Jr., his son and Director of Business Development at Blue Zones, discussed the nine-common diet and lifestyle habits that connect the Blue Zones together in longevity and health. 4. Attendees got real value from the Symposium
Since this was our first year co-hosting, we made sure to survey attendees for feedback. We welcome opportunities to make the event even better next year!
One theme we heard again and again from attendees was their appreciation for the forward-thinking sessions. The ConvUrgentCare Symposium has been a conference for healthcare leaders and innovators long before we became the co-hosts, and we wanted to stay true to that.
- “The energy in motivating us in a real way to make a change.”
- “Great presenters and info”
- “All of it was great!! I really liked hearing about the value of partnerships to scale.”
- “The overall knowledge and vision for a better system and better patient care.”
- “Loved all the content and the timing of all the sessions were perfect. Not too long not too short. Healthcare is our life and we need to evolve with the never ending changes. Loved the attendees dedication to this era!”
We’re inspired by the humans that brought this event to life. From our speakers who worked tirelessly to put together inspiring, actionable event content to attendees who were actively engaged in the conversations, we’re in awe of the leaders and innovators we met at this event. This was our first year co-hosting ConvUrgentCare Symposium with UCP Merchant Medicine, and we were honored to collaborate with attendees, challenge each other’s ideas, and continue pushing healthcare forward together.
