We’re Open: Renewing Our Commitment to Interoperability with New EHR Support

Solv’s new EHR integrations and automations eliminates work for the front desk and improves data accuracy

In 2019, we launched Data Connect: Solv pledged to openness and interoperability with other healthcare technology providers with a focus on EHR compatibility. And, six months ago, we shared an update with our partners that while some EHRs elected to remain closed, we still were dedicated to interoperability for the many benefits it provides - saving your staff time and streamlining their workflows.

Today we’re excited to announce updated support for integrations including athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, and Epic. In addition, we also offer automations for those practices using the Practice Velocity and DocuTAP products.

Practices using these systems can now enable a best-in-class patient experience through Solv while reducing work for their staff by seamlessly transferring data to their EHR. Current Solv healthcare partners have used Data Connect to eliminate more than 10 hours of data entry work per week for their front desk staff, and we’re excited to expand the list of available systems.

Products with which healthcare partners can use Solv integrations:

  • Allscripts
  • athenahealth
  • Cerner
  • eClinicalWorks
  • Epic
  • NextGen
  • State IIS systems

What is the difference between an EHR integration and a robotic automation?

Solv’s EHR integrations and automations accomplish the same goal - they transfer patient data, paperwork info and appointments to your EHR without manual work from a staff member or provider.

EHR integrations allow for direct data transfer to pass information between them. Integrations are typically supported by open EHRs that support patient data interoperability.

Robotic process automations, or RPAs, use scripts and algorithms to automate the work a human would otherwise do. A robot handles the pointing, clicking, copying and pasting in your EHR.

Both integrations and automations are HIPAA compliant, secure and eliminate the need for double data entry. While the backend connection may differ, both means to connect two systems eliminate double data entry and patient status updates for your staff, saving them time.

If you’re using these systems, we’d love to show you how Solv can save you time, and money, while streamlining your workflow by increasing your operational efficiency. If you are not currently using one of those EHRs, contact our team for more information - we’re continuing to add to the list of available systems we support.
