We live in Alameda, CA. There are two carbon health facilities in town. After making an appointment online, tge location on Blanding called to say they couldn't take us because no clinicians bothered to show up to work. We then made another appointment at your 5th st location in Alameda (20 min from our house, as opposed to five), but after examining my husband for pain he felt after a fall, and deciding he needed an xray their facility had no capability to take, then sent us to yet a third location, 30 min away in San Leandro. Then, we had to go back to Alameda to get his medication. Sum total, it took us three car trips, and 2.5 hours to get care for a pulled muscle from Carbon Health, forcing us to spend nearly an hour driving. Bottom line: it would have faster and easier to go to Alameda hospital's emergency room, just 10 min from our house, with a full clinical staff, plenty of testing facilities, and five min from our pharmacy. In this case, Carbon Health was NOT urgent care.
