I've been coming to this location for over a year. I've never had an issue before until today. The nurse was nice but the new Dr. that I never seen before was very rude. She walked in and didn't greet me nicely. She had a disgusted look on her face. She asked what are your symptoms. Didn't seem like she cared and was in a hurry. Ruined my day.

This urgent care center is very clean and was empty when I arrived, which felt very safe in the current conditions. However, that's the only good thing I can say. I came in for a knee injury. The doctor insisted it wasn't swollen when it very clearly was. I heard him outside the door tell the medical assistant that it was fine, to give me an ace bandage and some Motrin. He said an xray wasn't necessary, but he had to do it for insurance purposes. He then proceeded to tell me his Covid-19 conspiracy theories, said testing was the cause of the spread (great to hear from a testing facility), and insisted I'd be fine if I got it despite my autoimmune disease because it's being blown out of proportion. Went on to discuss how Americans are weak in comparison to the Americans who fought Nazis. None of this was relevant to my knee injury. I went home with my ace bandage, and about an hour later he called and said my xray was fine. I waited a few more hours then went to the ER because of the pain and swelling. I have a broken kneecap and ligament damage. Very grateful I did not listen to the doctor here or I might have injured myself even more.

The front office girl was very confrontational with the worst attitude. She had this, standoff argumentive attitude. She had a response for everything including that she has nothing to do with any insurance info and doesnt do anything with insurance. She said she doesnt look up anything. So are you telling me banner that a person can bring you an old insurance card and tell you they're insured and you will see them without verifying their policy is active or if they have any payments due at the time of service cause your front office staff told me that ,"I don't do anything with insurance, that's all billing!" After I said can't you look it up by my social and date of birth? I know for a fact my secondary plan can be looked up by my dob and ssn. I've used the AHCCCS online page before. Also, maybe you need to think about retraining your staff on how to speak properly to people and maybe not try to Rush them with "do you have that yet?" Yeah, I was on the phone still with BCBS of FL and the rep heard your staff and made it a point to say let me get you your ID number whoa! She even apologized that I was being talked to like that. She stated that you could have verified it with name dog and employer name but front office staff needed to talk and laugh with the medical assistant and other staff. All while I find out that testing is free. Hmmmm I knew Banner was probably getting gov compensation. Are you billing BCBS AND obtaining gov payments???? Double dipping is illegal. Oh and tell your staff I will say it out loud to him myself if he professional requests it not like a bunch of little gang of bullies.
