Thank you to the staff at Beach Family and Urgent Care in North Myrtle Beach. The quality of care from Barbie Anderson, NP, and her assistants made my visit a very positive experience.

Military stay away. We came in distress for an injury and were told at the front desk that they took tricare. They are NOT and 'in-network' provider, meaning you will get charged for services that would be 100% covered at a different urgent care. They willingly deceive by stating they are 'tricare certified'. Bottom-line- do not come here they wantonly prey on vulnerable (injured or sick) military by being deceitful. Better believe I have learned my lesson and will check with Humana or other Tricare contractor in the future before receiving care- this place got the best of me in a vulnerable moment. Hope they are happy.

After driving to a 2nd location of this group, I arrived at 11:30 with no appointment. I was having severe lower abdominal pain radiating to my back. I was told there was an hour wait. Finally at 1:30 I was taken back to a room, which I waited until 2:00 and came out looking for the doctor. She and another male patient, who came in an hour and a half after me, were walking out of an exam room. I was told he had an appointment due to a cough. All I can say is a patient who has been sitting there for 2.5 hours in pain should take precedence to anyone who had a scheduled appointment 2 hours after I had been there. I also suggested to the receptionist that she tell the truth about the wait time being over 2 hours instead of 1 hour, and she made an excuse that they don't know how fast the doctor will take with each patient's specific need. BS. Over the 2 hours I sat there, I could see that they were taking a patient back every 20-25 minutes. Only an idiot couldn't figure that out!! Poor service, except for the technician who took my vitals!!
