My BCBS insurance only covered half of the $600 office visit. I had to pay just over $300 out of pocket. This is the first urgent care that has ever charged for a half hour visit instead of the fifteen min.

The medical treatment was what I expected from the nurse practitioner, Jimmy. The problem was that the very nice young nurse who took my information caused the problem by not listening to my instructions. I told her specifically that I wanted my Rx called into PUBLIX. When I went to PUBLIX we discovered that she had called the Rx's into Walgreens. Lauren at Publix called Walgreens to get them transferred and was told three of the Rx's were filled out of four. I got the one not filled RX from Publix. I went back to PIEDMONT URGENT CARE to get another Rx made out to Publx. On the way back to Publix I stopped by Walgreens to cancel the Rx's they had said were ready. They had one ready and said "you too early' and for another one and they didn't "have the other until the 21st." It was then the 18th. Following much more wrangling with Walgreen's who told Piedmont and Publix they had filled the cefdinir Rx when they told me 'too early.' Someone finally told the truth and today Publix has agreed to fill both prescriptions. Two days without the meds could have been avoided had I been served at PUC rather than serviced. However, had the nurse paid attention to my instructions we would not have confirmed the lack of professionalism of the Walgreen's pharmacy. Do not forget they are licensed to dispense drugs and narcotics to the public. Have a good life.
