If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. Swedish Medical Center - Southwest ER is an emergency room, commonly called an E.R., providing critical and life saving healthcare services to patients throughout theLittleton area through their location at6196 S Ammons Way. They are required by law to be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even on national holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
While their availability can be enticing, you should really only visit an E.R. if you absolutely have to as they can be quite expensive and have much longer wait times than an walk-in urgent care center. In fact, some insurance carriers have begun to refuse paying for emergency room visits that were in fact non-emergent. An interesting fact that about 50% of emergency room diagnosis could be addressed at a quicker, less expensive urgent care center.

Great people and they are all very friendly. They will approach you under the pretense that they are there to help you. However, their main objective is to siphon off your bank account through your insurance company. First, they bill your insurance far more than what is considered reasonable to treat your condition. Insurance pays what is reasonable. Months later you receive the bill and you are left wondering how they could possibly justify the thousands for dollars you are now being told you have to pay. The truth is they can't and they don't have to. That is just the way it is and there is nothing you can do about it; except tell others not to make the same mistake you just did.

My husband was taken last night to the er. He had had covid was dizzy and face planted on the cement. His face was cut up and passed out 2 more times. My daughter took home to the hospital where he was at first treated nicely. When the nurse found out he had not had a covid shot all that changed. She was rough with him, extremely rude, vindictive. It was a very challenging experience for the family and him. Two charge nurses were told about it. One changed his nurse Erin (sp) but she seemed to have alot of say. The charge nurse didn't believe that Erin the only nurse could do that. It was. Unbelievable!

The absolute worst criminals. Thieves of the highest order. Where is the government and the law to protect the public from such despicable abuse?

Nurse came in and immediately misgendered patient. Nurse then proceeded to cross out preferred name and write dead name exclaiming “we don’t need to know that”. I’ve worked 14 years in health care and this is disappointing at best, transphobia at worst.

Was admitted for a right leg knee injury was not welcomed, was treated like I did something wrong. Was not offered any pain medicine not even tylenol. When doctor Azar came in she was watching the local news instead of making eye contact with me. I'm proably out 4000, to be treated like crap adds insult to injury😪

My mother was sent here from a local urgent care clinic with a severe cat bite. No one took her seriously, making comments about how the urgent care "couldn't just take care of it," and the PA was extremely condescending. She also heard them making fun of her at the desk. They put her ear surgeon as her follow up doctor because no one bothered to ask, and they had no vested interest in comforting my mom, who felt ill but also silly for seeking care (even though 85% of cat bites require antibiotics). I am a nurse at another HCA facility and I am appalled at this behavior and embarrassed for this ED staff, whom already have horrible ratings. Please listen to the reviews, as we should have, and go anywhere but here.

I took my son to the ER to get his finger stitched back after a minor cut. He ended up with seven stiches for $1300, ouch. I inquired about the after care and was told by both the attending doctor and P.A. that the stitch removal was included. We went back for the follow up and after a five-minute stitch removal I was again smacked with a $1300 bill. After an investigation form Swedish, I was told to pay up for face collections. I don’t mind paying for a service but I am very displeased at being lied to about the billing and follow up services.
