Northwest Physicians Urgent Care	, Northwest Physicians Urgent Care - 45th and Coulter - 7200 SW 45th Ave
As always knowing you will be taking care of in a timely and professionally manner is what you hope for when feeling sick or are hurting. The staff made sure my check-in was done quickly using the knew app which was easier than I originally thought. You don't want to learn something knew when feeling bad, but it is worth it if it makes the next visit that much quicker. The nurse practitioner was knowledgeable and had my illness diagnosed and meds ordered immediately after reviewing my test results. Kudos to the nurse for making the throat and COVID culture painless!

About Syphilis Testing

Who should get tested for syphilis?

According to the CDC, anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for syphilis, especially if they have multiple partners or are in a relationship with someone who has tested positive for the disease. Pregnant women are also recommended to get tested, as syphilis can lead to severe complications for both the mother and baby, including stillbirth and infant death.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for syphilis is crucial as the disease can cause severe health problems if left untreated, including damage to the heart, brain, and other organs. Furthermore, a person with syphilis can easily spread the infection to others, even if they do not show any symptoms. Early detection through testing allows for prompt treatment, reducing the risk of complications and preventing further spread of the disease.
