What to know before you go
You are required to submit your physician’s referral prior to the COVID-19 test being administered, so that we may bill your insurance. Please do not arrive for your appointment without your physician’s referral. If the payment is rejected, you will be responsible for the $250 price of the test. If you do not have your physician’s referral, you will be responsible for the $250 cost of the COVID test payable immediately upon arrival for specimen collection (including employment or travel screening).

Annapath, Inc. is a locally owned, Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Laboratory conveniently located in Annandale, VA. We accept all insurance plans as well as self-pay patients.
Our friendly staff understands there is always a little anxiety associated with medical testing and will make your visit to our facility quick and seamless. You can easily schedule your appointment online by inputting your information, selecting a convenient time and submitting to Annapath.
Annapath currently offers the RT-PCR CIVID test in-house, which looks for two separate targets and gives our test a specificity of ~98%. The test is also highly sensitive. The CDC requires COVID tests cut off for detection at 5000 viral copies/ml. Annapath has set the cut off at 500 copies/ml which makes our test 10X more sensitive than what the CDC requires. This gives virtually no false negatives (sensitivity ~100%). In other words, we are providing peace of mind to our patients. In addition, we offer direct to patient reporting via email or text message within 24 hours (or less) of your visit.
