I'm not exaggerating. This was the best doctor's experience I have ever had. My son has autism and an ear infection which is a terrifying combination. They were amazing.

Sparkling Clean

Doctors on duty at 1212 South Main Street is awesome, the staff are all professionals at what they do, and are caring about their patients. I received a lot of help from the office managers taking care of paperwork. And dealing with the doctor's assistants is a comforting experience. The doctors are understanding of their patients discomfort and pain as they work hard getting their patients on the road to recovery. My personal thanks to Dr. Luder, Lucina, and Veronica, for outstanding professionalism.

De Paul Urgent Care Center - 18550 Depaul Dr, Morgan Hill
I have just moved to Morgan Hill. My 82 year mom had injured her arm/ shoulder and I really needed immediate care for her as we are not registered with any doctors here. I turned to De Paul Urgent Care. She has Medicare coverage. I had to make a couple of trips because of the wait, but that was ok. Steve, very polite and helpful, at the front desk assured me she would be seen and my place in line was saved and we could go home to rest, and we came back later. The nurse was kind and thorough, Dr. Stephen Scherr gave us so much of his time in examining my mom and facilitated her X rays immediately. The X ray technician was so kind and gentle and patient with my mom. The results came in and Dr. Scherr, again explained in detail what was happening. The discharge nurse was kind and went through our instructions patiently. Her meds were ordered and we went home happy, knowing that nothing is broken and that we could have a Thanksgiving without worry. I am so grateful to this team. I have no words to thank them all.

The staff is friendly welcoming and friendly, I found the physical office/facility in *** Newman Avenue of Huntington Beach,CA is clean and light even should it be a bit busy. I found my virtual visit through Solv for telemedicine was equally excellent! Marsha answered ally questions, her answers also left me assured that I'm in perfect care.

Had a very thorough medical assist who went over my injures and medical history. Very professional. The ZpA that treated me was very good and did a complete physical overview of my shoulder , arm and eye injury. Very knowledgeable and professional team at this office. Would definitely refer a friend or relative to get treatment at this site.

I took my kid for Sport Physical and they got us in, in a reasonable time with no appointment. Plus it was free when other places wanted to charge me $65 with a 5 hours of wait time.

Always a great team every time I've been there physically or on the video appts . I wanted to add when I do come in Urgent Care physically they are such great staff the receptionist and a medical assistant they are also very helpful and courteous.

Everyone was friendly and nice. Sports physical was as thorough as we expected. It was disappointing to have made an appointment and still have a one hour wait time to be seen.

Front desk were very helpful.I took my daughter in for a Sports Physical and my daughter was seen right away!I would definitely recommend others to go in for their high school Sports Physical.

I went for COVID-19 test. I did not have any symptoms, just need my negative test so I could go to physical therapy, as I had been exposed. They are pretty efficient, considering the amount of people coming in. They call you when they are ready for you, so you just sit in your car and wait.

The Nurse Practitioner who saw me here today was amazing. It has been a long time since I’ve been to an Urgent Care where a provider actually performs a proper physical assessment. She told me that I could come back for reassurance if needed which shows to me that she also performed a psychosocial assessment and responded appropriately to my anxiety.

- Verified patient on 7/18

My experience was fine however, I feel like absent the physical touching of the belly or listening to the belly, we are just guessing. It hurts to see a child in pain.

- Verified patient on 4/30

We went here for a sports physical and it went amazing! No wait time and staff was very friendly. Establishment was very clean and professional. I definitely recommend.

- Verified patient on 7/13

Super grateful to have found this place. The wait time is super short and the doctor was very kind and helpful. I lost insurance and am in the process of getting coverage, and this was the only place that was willing to see me without waiting a long time for an appointment. I appreciated that the COVID test came with a physical exam so that my health concerns could be addressed at the same time. Highly recommend!

I took my daughter in to get a physical to play sports for high school had to wait about 30 minutes but once in the room the doctor was great great personality wish I knew his name

Had great experiences. Everyone was very friendly. Especially one young man, Walter- super thorough, organized, detailed, caring and very pleasant to deal with on the phone. I am a senior physical therapist with over a decade experience as a supervisor and really appreciate exceptional service when I see it. Thank you Walter!

Last minute physical needed to be done. It was quick and out the door with the necessary documents I needed. Will return if another physical is needed and will recommend of any friends/family need to get one done quick as well.

- Verified patient on 8/17

From the online registration to the physical appointment, all went very smooth. They were about to go to lunch but were still very friendly and not making me feel rushed. Even though they were out in the hot Sacramento sun in Covid-19 gear. Thx, everyone!

Called to make an appointment, but was pleased to find i can make an appt online and be seen without physically going in. Which is great when you don't feel good and dont want to get others sick. I spoke with Frankie before speaking with the provider, he was so polite and helpful with all my questions. I spoke with Missy regarding my ailment and wow! She made me feel instantly at ease! You can tell she really cares about her patients. I felt she definitely went above what I expected. Immediately after speaking with her I felt better, and trust in the treatment and care shes given me. Thank you MedCove I really appreciate it❤

San Juan Bautista Physical Exams

A annual physical exam (or annual well visit) is a routine check-up where a doctor or healthcare provider checks you for routine health issues and asks you basic questions about your health. During a physical exam, the doctor will most likely go over your medical history and ask you questions about the current state of your health. They'll also check vital signs like your heart rate, blood pressure, and temperature, as well as take a look at whether your skin appears healthy. You'll also get a head and neck exam, a lung exam (using a stethoscope), an abdominal exam, a neurological exam, and more. Women may get a breast and pelvic exam and men may get prostate, penis, testicular, and hernia exams.

Annual exams are important because they can help you find out about health issues early on so treatment can begin as soon as any problems are discovered. If you're overweight or you're at risk for diabetes, you'll most likely get a blood sugar test too. Everyone over the age of three should have a physical exam every year. At age 50, your doctor might start screening for colorectal cancer. At 40, women should begin getting regular mammogram screenings for breast cancer. Women ages 45 to 54 should get them yearly and women 55 and older should get them (at minimum) every two years.

More Details about Physical Exams

A physical examination is frequently done as part of a doctor's routine checkup. You can better prepare for your next medical appointment by learning more about what happens during a physical exam.

Physical examination

A physical examination is when your healthcare practitioner examines and studies your body to determine whether you have a physical health concern. Inspection, palpation, auscultation, and percussion are the four components of a physical examination, according to the National Library of Medicine (NLM).

Your doctor examines your body for concerns such as skin imperfections during the examination. According to the National Library of Medicine, palpation is the process of feeling your body with your fingers or hands, such as when a doctor feels for a tumor or mass.

Auscultation is a procedure in which your doctor listens to sounds, such as your heartbeat. Percussion entails making noises, such as tapping on various body parts. According to the National Library of Medicine, this is normally done to establish the size and consistency of your organs, as well as the presence or absence of fluids in specific locations.

The purpose of an annual physical exam

An annual physical exam, according to the National Library of Medicine, can help you detect and prevent health concerns you may not be aware of.

A yearly physical exam is used to check for diseases such as cancer and to see whether you are at risk for certain health issues such as diabetes. According to the National Library of Medicine, a yearly physical checkup allows you to stay up to date on vaccines and other preventative health treatments, as well as make good lifestyle choices that improve your overall health. Another advantage of getting an annual physical examination is that you can keep in constant contact with your doctor if you acquire an illness or chronic disease.

How to prepare for a physical examination

According to the National Library of Medicine, arriving prepared for your appointment can help you get the most out of your visit and avoid unnecessary follow-ups with your doctor.

First, go over your family's medical history and be ready to discuss any health conditions that run in your family, such as high blood pressure, cancer, or diabetes. According to the National Library of Medicine, your doctor may use this information to see if you're at risk for these same health issues.

The National Library of Medicine suggests that you check to see whether any general checkups or vaccines are needed. If you're not sure, call your doctor ahead of time so you can dress correctly or make extra arrangements if you need to go through specific tests.

Lastly, the NLM suggests writing down a list of issues and questions to mention during your appointment. For example, if you’ve been experiencing any new or different symptoms, write these down so your doctor can examine you for related health problems.

How a physical examination is performed

According to the National Library of Medicine, the manner in which your physical exam is conducted is mostly determined by your gender and age, due to changes in anatomy and health problems that affect different age groups.

Male examination

According to the National Library of Medicine, males between the ages of 18 and 39 have their height, weight, and body mass index (BMI) examined at every appointment. Males in this age bracket may be questioned about mental health issues such as depression, as well as their eating, exercise, and substance use habits. Blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, and heart disease may all be checked.

According to the National Library of Medicine, men aged 40 to 64 receive the same services as men aged 18 to 39, as well as screenings for colorectal cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, and osteoporosis. Men in their sixties and seventies may also be asked about their medications and whether they have recently fallen.

Female examination

At each checkup, females between the ages of 18 and 39 will have their height, weight, and BMI measured. According to the National Library of Medicine, females should have their blood pressure tested every one to two years, and cervical cancer screenings should begin at the age of 21. During their regular physical, females in this age bracket may also have diabetes and cholesterol screenings.

According to the National Library of Medicine, women between the ages of 40 and 64 receive all of the same services as younger women, as well as lung cancer, colorectal cancer, and osteoporosis screenings. Women over the age of 65 may be subjected to routine mammograms and may be asked about any medications they are taking.

Lab tests

Based on the findings of your physical exam, your doctor may prescribe lab tests to confirm or rule out one or more diseases. The NLM says that lab tests may be used as part of examinations for disorders like colorectal cancer and cervical cancer.

Before your appointment, call your doctor to find out if you'll be having lab tests and what they'll entail so you can make the required preparations.

Following up after a physical examination

If one of your screens or lab tests comes back positive or inconclusive, you may be contacted following your physical examination. In such cases, your doctor will contact you to discuss treatment options or to prescribe more testing and screening. Your doctor can tell you more about what to expect after your physical exam in terms of follow-up.
