I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Quest Lab Testing for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The staff saw me and my daughter together for two separate complaints. Each was polite, caring and friendly, as well as accommodating. The receptionist is just rude. Not nice at all. Needs Carnegie training. Phone calls from her are no different. A disappointment to a fine staff.

Sulphur Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), sexually active women under the age of 25, older women with new or multiple sex partners, and men who have sex with men should get tested for chlamydia annually. It's also recommended for anyone who has unprotected sex or whose partner has tested positive for an STD/STI. In Sulphur, LA, these guidelines apply to all residents, regardless of age or gender.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for chlamydia is crucial because it's often asymptomatic, meaning it doesn't always present symptoms. If left untreated, it can lead to serious health complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease in women and epididymitis in men, both of which can cause infertility. Moreover, having chlamydia increases the risk of acquiring or transmitting HIV. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, reducing the risk of complications and further spread of the infection.
