Highly Rated

Affordacare Urgent Care, Big Spring - 710 S Gregg St, Big Spring
All the staff are very nice. Plus every single Doctor I have had at Affordacare have been great. Caring how I felt leaving the clinic. I work a very very stressful job. So seeing a doctor that really cares about my health and hope I am feeling, means a great deal to me. This is why I have not looked for a PCP yet, since I moved to BS for my job, and continue using Affordacare. Ty.

About Gonorrhea Testing

Who should get tested for gonorrhea?

According to the CDC, anyone who is sexually active can get gonorrhea, but it's most commonly diagnosed in people aged 15-24. If you're sexually active and have multiple partners, or a new partner, it's recommended to get tested. Additionally, if you've had gonorrhea before or have other STDs, you're more at risk. Men who have sex with men should also consider regular testing.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for gonorrhea is crucial because it's a common infection that can cause serious health problems if left untreated, such as infertility in women and potentially increase the risk of getting HIV. Most people with gonorrhea don't have any symptoms, so they might not know they're infected. Testing allows for early detection and treatment, preventing complications and the spread of the infection to others.
