Short Wait Time

Awesome Experience! Efficient, Professional, clean, friendly and Safe!!! I went in during the major explosion of Covid. Masks REQUIRED! To prevent contamination, the stafff asked me to wait in my car and would send me a text when they were ready for me. I had went to Fast med and they had told me they could not see me as they were too busy and they had over a 5 hour wait. The ER when I called said 5-9 hours. I did have to wait about 45 minutes, but had a super efficient visit. I was called in taken straight to an exam room where I could still smell the cleaning agents. After a brief history of my problem, the nurse left and provider was in after a short wait. The provider was super friendly , very, very thorough ( spent about 15 minutes with me, then sent me across the hallway (5 steps) to the lab where the lab gal did her thing and also took a chest film then I was back in the room. Within about 15 more minutes the provider was back in , reviewed my findings and said he would electronically send in my RX, and reviewed a discharge summary with me as well as emailing a copy of my visit to my email. I can not say enough about the quality of this office and would definitely return when I am in need! Forest Hills Immediate Care is the top urgent Care facility in town, I will be establishing there as a new primary care patient as they are one of the few clinics from what I have seen that accepts new patients. Carrie J.

I have been going to GHCC since its establishment. NPs and PAs are excellent practitioners and genuinely care about their patients.

About the Hepatitis Vaccine

The hepatitis A and B vaccine is used to prevent infections caused by the hepatitis A and hepatitis B viruses. Hepatitis A is a severe disease that affects the liver and can lead to death, which is why it's crucial that you get the vaccine. Hepatitis A can be spread by close person-to-person contact and Hepatitis B can be spread through bodily fluids, like semen, blood, saliva, vaginal fluids, or by sharing needles.

The Hepatitis A and hepatitis B combination vaccine are recommended for anyone over the age of 18 who's at risk of infection from their jobs or certain behaviors. You should also get it if you're going to be traveling to the Middle East, the Caribbean, Africa, the former Soviet Union, Eastern and Southern Europe, Central and South America, and Southeast Asia (excluding Japan).

The Hep A and Hep B combination vaccine is also recommended for people who use illegal injection drugs, people involved in high-risk sexual activity (like homosexual and bisexual males), residents of drug and alcohol treatment centers, military personnel, people who work in a childcare center or correctional facility, and people living in or moving to areas with high rates of HAV infection (and who are at a high risk of HBV infection). It's also recommended for anyone at risk because of their jobs (such as police officers, laboratory workers who handle the Hep A and Hep B viruses, anyone who comes into contact with sewage or stool, and anyone who provides first aid or medical care), as well as people with chronic liver disease or hemophilia.
