Great discreet service, scheduled my visit and paid for for the test online not in Showed up at lab, checked in and was seen within minutes. Blood and urine were collected, test results came back quickly within 2 days because I did my test on a Friday. Quick, easy and cheap. Didn't have to wait for a visit to my PCP, and then get referral to lab.

I was able to choose a Quest lab location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

I have been dealing with Medi-Help for over 5 years now. I feel lucky and blessed to find this place comparing to UPMC and Allegheny Health System. With Medi-Help it is all about you and your health and well being not just money. The main reasons why I love this place is Dr. Nenad Janicijevic and Dr. Bora Janicijevic and how up to date and knowledgeable they are. It is funny that when I see Dr. Nenad Janicijevic at Medi-Help I get charge $25 only but if I met him at the ER I will pay a few thousand dollars for the same doctor. Dr. Nanad is an Emergency Physician and he is an Emergency Medicine physician for over 35 years. I would give the credit to Dr. Nenad Janicijevic for why I am still alive right now after I tested positive for COVID 19. Even a few years ago when I had the Flu type A. They took good care of me. A few years ago I recommended this place to all my friends and family and all of them go there now. Where else could we go! there is no place such as this place. It is not about how affordable the place is. It is also about the quality of the treatment and the knowledge they have. They are like a small hospital. They have X-ray, endoscopy tests, ultrasound, EKG, all kinds of blood tests, COVID Test (drive-through), and much more. I would give also credit to all nurses working there because even when they risk their lives and are slammed, they can help and serve patients. I highly recommend this place more than your PCP and your Urgent Care. You will know why when you go there. Thank you, Dr. Nenad and Dr. Bora for being my life-saving. I appreciate you very much.

Jefferson Hills Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) that can affect anyone who is sexually active, regardless of age or gender. However, it is most common among young people, particularly those aged 25 and under. According to the CDC, sexually active women under 25, men who have sex with men, and individuals with multiple partners or those who do not consistently use condoms should be tested for chlamydia annually. Pregnant women should also be tested, as chlamydia can cause complications during pregnancy and can be passed on to the baby during childbirth.

Importance of getting tested

Chlamydia is often called the "silent" STI because most people who have it do not show symptoms. However, if left untreated, it can cause serious health problems. In women, chlamydia can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease, which can cause permanent damage to the reproductive system and lead to infertility. In men, it can cause pain and swelling in one or both testicles. Regular testing is crucial for early detection and treatment to prevent these complications.

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Primary care providers

Your primary care provider can also provide chlamydia testing. Regular check-ups with your primary care provider often include discussions about sexual health, making it a good time to request a chlamydia test.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Free STD testing is available at many community health centers. These centers often offer testing for a variety of STIs, including chlamydia.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits for chlamydia are also available. These kits can be ordered online, used at home, and then sent to a lab for testing. Results are usually available within a few days.

Prevalence of chlamydia in Jefferson Hills

While specific data for Jefferson Hills is not readily available, Allegheny County, where Jefferson Hills is located, has seen a steady increase in chlamydia cases over the past few years, according to the CDC. This trend mirrors the national trend, with chlamydia being the most commonly reported STI in the United States.

Risk factors related to chlamydia in Jefferson Hills

Risk factors for chlamydia in Jefferson Hills are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include being sexually active, having multiple sexual partners, not consistently using condoms, and being under the age of 25.

Other STDs in Jefferson Hills

In addition to chlamydia, other STIs, including gonorrhea, HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis, are also present in Jefferson Hills and the surrounding areas. Regular testing for these STIs is also recommended, especially for those in high-risk groups. Testing for these STIs can often be done at the same time as chlamydia testing.
