I went to urgent care because I had a infection from a scratch on my head and it spread .. I went there for the first time walked in and the receptionist took my info . I started to sit down but the nurse was already calling my name . The very friendly professional nurse took blood pressure.and ask some questions . As she walk out the doctor came in . She was very nice and professional look at my head and neck and confirmed it was a infection . She gave me antibiotic . Total time was about 15 minutes . . I would recommend the urgent care .. And now I will be seeing a doctor there .. I will be doing a review .. Thanks Debbie

About Gonorrhea Testing

Who should get tested for gonorrhea?

Anyone who is sexually active can contract gonorrhea, especially those with multiple sexual partners or those who do not use a condom. It is particularly important for individuals between the ages of 15 and 24, as this age group accounts for nearly half of all gonorrhea infections according to the CDC. Additionally, individuals who have been previously diagnosed with an STD/STI, those who have new or multiple sexual partners, or men who have sex with men should consider getting tested.

Importance of getting tested

Gonorrhea is a common sexually transmitted infection, but many people are not aware they have it because symptoms can be mild or non-existent. If left untreated, gonorrhea can lead to serious health problems, including infertility in both men and women, increased risk of getting or transmitting HIV, and potentially life-threatening complications. Regular testing is crucial in preventing the spread of the infection and ensuring early treatment.

Gonorrhea testing options in Greenfield, WI:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care centers such as Popcare in Franklin, WI and AFC Urgent Care in Waukesha, WI offer convenient, same-day gonorrhea testing. These centers are ideal for those who need immediate testing and results. You can book an appointment at these clinics through Solv’s website or mobile app.

Primary care providers

Your primary care provider can also conduct gonorrhea testing. This may be a good option if you have a long-standing relationship with your provider and feel comfortable discussing your sexual health with them.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers often provide free or low-cost gonorrhea testing for those who may not have insurance or who cannot afford the cost of testing.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are another option for those who prefer privacy. These kits can be ordered online, used at home, and then sent to a lab for analysis.

Prevalence of gonorrhea in Greenfield

Greenfield, located in Milwaukee County, WI, has seen a steady increase in gonorrhea cases over the years, mirroring national trends. Comparatively, the prevalence of gonorrhea in Greenfield is higher than in nearby counties such as Fulton County and Williams County.
