Urgent care are available to assist patients that are looking for immediate, convenient medical care. In that manner, they are similar to an emergency room. The difference, however, is that ERs are meant to treat major, life-threatening injuries and illnesses while urgent care centers manage life’s minor bruises and bumps. In simple terms, an urgent care is seen as a walk-in health center that focuses in offering non-emergent health care conditions, including the treatment of the typical illnesses and injuries such as fractures and sprains, cuts and burns, scrapes, stings and bites, flu and cold symptoms, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, and much more. Most urgent care facilities offer both diagnostic and preventive care such as well visits, immunizations, STD testing and annual physicals. For regular visits and check-ups on these clinics, you should expect to pay between $20 and $100. The good thing is that most urgent care clinics will accept major PPOs and insurance cover, Medicare, as well as self-pay in the form of credit cards or cash. Urgent care clinics are located in most parts of the country in various regions to offset emergency room visits and provide a gap in healthcare services. They take patients during all hours of operations, which offer a significant convenience to most people who have and continue to undergo the need for sudden and immediate medical attention.

"Needed an MMR vaccine, and I hate needles! The nurse was so kind, friendly, gentle, and most professional, qualities you don’t find all the time anymore. I would go back anytime as long as I know she’s going to be there. Thanks urgent care, you have a gem working for you!"
"I needed a measles titer for my employer, Northshore School District. A colleague had recommended Immediate Clinic. I spent a fair amount of time creating an online account, only to be told when I arrived at the Clinic in Kenmore that "we can't see what you wrote" and I'd have to re-do all the paperwork. UGH. Staff seemed pleasant but not what I'd call welcoming."
"Overall experience was good. PA was very nice, confident and fast. In light of the Measles Outbreak, I was disappointed that the facility did not offer a face mask or other means of protection. This facility was filled with at least 10 Orthodox and some were coughing. They could have separated the seating as well just as other Urgent Care and Pediatric offices do for newborns."
"Sadly, this is our 3rd time to this clinic in about a week, my family just keeps getting hit with fluke things. Generally we are very healthy. There is a measles epidemic in my community and although we are a vaccinated family, I thought my son might be infected. I was so impressed by the urgent care team and how they handled a possible contagious situation, but still with compassion and kindness. I also appreciate how while caring for my son, they still had a mindfulness towards the other patients in the clinic and followed a very safe and reasonable process to ensure we didn't expose others. Fortunately it was a false alarm, my son does not have measles, although a relief, he does have scabies which isn't feeling like much of a consolation prize even though it is. This is a truly wonderful medical professionals!"
"We took our 6 year old daughter to the urgent care. She had a high fever, rash, lethargic, and they went to work right away. Looked for measles, did a flu test, and did a strep test. She ended up having step they prescribed medicine and we were out of there. So fast, to the point, and professional. Great with kids also. Our daughter loved the popsicles, crackers, and stickers! Thank you all!"
