QUICKmed Urgent Care, Medina Urgent Care - 955 N Court St
Tested positive for Covid on Sunday, made appt for Wednesday because I was feeling so sick. I wanted to make sure nothing else was going on. Doctor was rude from the get go and basically told me to suck it up and it wasn't necessary to miss work. Very condescending, she had a young man shadowing her and he was very nice- he did seem uncomfortable with her bedside manner.

Sparkling Clean

My eye was almost swollen shut from poison ivy, so I went in. She told me right off there would probably be around a 45 minute wait because of two other cases there, which I appreciated being told up front! Mine wasn’t an emergency so it was fine. When it was my turn to go in, it was only a few minutes before the doctor came in...They were so nice (and I wish I was better with remembering names) and the doctor made sure everything else was ok and wasn’t rushing me through. I would recommend this place....I appreciated their kindness and efficiency!

About Syphilis Testing

Who should get tested for syphilis?

According to the CDC, anyone who is sexually active can get syphilis, but it is particularly prevalent among men who have sex with men. However, it's important to note that syphilis can also be transmitted through direct contact with a syphilis sore during vaginal, anal, or oral sex. People who have a partner with a syphilis diagnosis should also get tested. Pregnant women should be tested for syphilis as it can be passed from mother to child during pregnancy, potentially leading to serious complications.

Importance of getting tested

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection that can cause serious health problems if left untreated. It progresses in stages and can eventually lead to damage to the heart, brain, and other organs if not detected and treated early. However, syphilis is curable with the right medical treatment, making early detection through testing crucial. Regular testing is also important to prevent the spread of the disease to others.
