Was a walk in and the wait was a bit longer than I'm used to, but they got me in as quickly as possible. The front desk made me feel welcome and they girls were very friendly. I had to talk with the billing office regarding my insurance and they were very professional and courteous. Dr. Raval was very friendly and listened to what I had to say. After seeing him, I understand why others want to come to him. I wasn't rushed through my appointment and he was very thorough. I highly recommend and will be back.

I was skeptical reading the reviews on whether or not to visit the office, but my experience has been a lot better than what I anticipated. The only downside is the waiting room time, but the care provided was better than the ones I experienced elsewhere. I am making Dr. Uba my PCP.

Southern Pines Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

Anyone who is sexually active can potentially contract chlamydia, but certain groups are at a higher risk. According to the CDC, sexually active women under 25, men who have sex with men, and individuals with multiple sexual partners or those who do not consistently use condoms should regularly get tested for chlamydia. It's also recommended for pregnant women since untreated chlamydia can cause complications during pregnancy and potentially harm the baby.

Importance of getting tested

Chlamydia is a common sexually transmitted infection, but it often goes undetected because many people do not experience symptoms. However, if left untreated, it can lead to serious health problems including pelvic inflammatory disease in women and epididymitis in men, both of which can result in infertility. Moreover, chlamydia can increase the risk of contracting or transmitting HIV. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, preventing these complications.
