I was able to choose a Labcorp location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

Denver Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

Chlamydia is a common sexually transmitted disease (STD) that can affect both men and women. According to the CDC, sexually active women under the age of 25, older women with new or multiple sex partners, and men who have sex with men should get tested for chlamydia annually. Additionally, anyone who has unprotected sex or whose partner has tested positive for an STD should consider getting tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for chlamydia is crucial as it often doesn't show any symptoms, leading to it being undiagnosed and untreated. This can result in serious health complications, such as pelvic inflammatory disease in women and epididymitis in men, both of which can lead to infertility. Moreover, chlamydia can increase the risk of getting or transmitting HIV. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, preventing these complications.
