On yesterday, 9/20, I visited this urgent care clinic after not being able to be seen by my PCP. I googled and found this wonderful urgent care and was delighted that it was really close in my neighborhood. Upon entering the clinic, I was greeted by one of the sweetest front office staff I have ever met. Her name was Patti and she deserves all the accolades that she gets. She quickly took care of getting my insurance and getting me signed in and explained the process thoroughly. Throughout the whole entire visit she was extremely nice and even at the end of my visit she said “I hope that you feel better” as I was walking out. The nurses that took my vital signs as well as my samples that needed to be tested were thorough and explained the process as they were doing it. They were also kind. The nurse practitioner that saw me was efficient as well as kind. The facility is very clean and modern. I really like the fact that they use a lot of electronic services which allows you to have your test results and prescriptions on your phone and decreases the amount of paperwork that you carry around. Overall I had a great experience and I am very familiar with the healthcare field as I myself am a nurse practitioner so for me to say that I’m pleased means a lot. This place can also serve as your primary care office, which I am strongly considering changing over from my PCP to this place. If I ever had to go to urgent care again or bring my children I will immediately come here. If you live in the Chelsea area, this is the place to go if you need urgent care services.

I love Dr.Jernigan, he’s a very patient and open minded doctor and I absolutely love how honest he is. The only thing they can possibly work on his staff friendliness, front desk mainly.

They are a good group that work together well and are very nice.

I scheduled an online visit for my teenage daughter with complete ease. From the moment we walked into the waiting room and then to the treatment room and again at our exit we were greeted by the kindest and professional staff. They were wonderful to us and very concerned about caring for my daughter and getting her what she needed. Our provider was especially kind and in depth with her medical care. Each time a staff member left the treatment room my daughter said, “They are so nice mom.” I was very satisfied with the care and felt great about what the provider diagnosed and recommended for treatment. I had a wonderful experience, the staff was very courteous and efficient. The two receptionist set the tone for a very pleasant visit. The wait time wasn’t very long, I was in seen and out the before I knew it. I will definitely be using them again. I highly recommend UAB Medicine Urgent Care
