Cottage Health Urgent Care, founded in 1888, was created to provide the California surrounding communities with quality, affordable healthcare and is still headquartered in Santa Barbara, California. Cottage Health Urgent Care is included under the not-for-profit Cottage Health system, which was formed in 1996 as the parent organization of Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and its affiliated Cottage Children’s Medical Center, Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital, Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital, and Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital, guided by a volunteer board of directors from the greater Santa Barbara community to provide the residents of the Central and South Coast with exemplary health care, continuous improvements in medical practice, and a commitment to the communities. Cottage Health opened urgent care clinics in storefront locations from Camarillo to San Luis Obispo offering treatment for all ages of minor illnesses and injuries. Each walk-in clinic is open 365 days a year from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., staffed by licensed nurse practitioners and highly trained patient concierge teams dedicated to completing patient care within 45 minutes.
