What do they do at a sports physical?

According to the National Library of Medicine, a sports physical normally includes a chat about your medical history as well as a physical examination. A sports physical is intended to detect any potential health issues that may be caused or exacerbated by sports, as well as to manage chronic diseases or injuries that may prevent you from participating in specific activities.

What is a physical exam?

During a physical exam, your doctor will examine and evaluate your body to see whether you have any physical health issues. What if you don’t pass a sports physical?

Your doctor may recommend that you use a medical device such as a brace or send you to a specialist for additional treatment, according to the University.

I use Michigan Urgent Care for virtually all of my medical needs. The Waterford location specifically, is my absolute favorite. The staff is always friendly and very accommodating. It appears that there is not much turnover at this location which says a lot by itself. Blanca and 2 of the full time receptionists are the best!! Sadly, I've had to visit several urgent care facilities in my 51 years but this one is by far the best!!

Brittany was the best!! She was so kind and made me feel so comfortable, I had somewhat of a sensitive issue and she didn’t make me feel weird or bad at all! If I got the name wrong she’s the nurse who talked to me about finding a sea urchin on the beach, she is black, wore ponytail, long sleeve scrubs, probably the friendliest healthcare provider I’ve ever had!

The office staff were great! The only issue was a technical problem with trying to upload my insurance info through the online system they use, but the office staff were able to handle it on their end just fine, so it was just a minor hiccup. Everyone on staff was friendly and competent, and they were all wearing masks, which is a big positive in my book, especially since the concern I came in with was possible covid. Would definitely recommend.
