The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The nurse was professional but lacked bed side manner. The doctor was warm, professional, knowledgeable, and had a very kind bed side manner.

Recent patient review

I made an appointment for 10:40 and did my paperwork online prior to coming to the office. One of the two receptionists checked me in and I waited in the waiting room for 40 minutes, watching people that appeared to be arriving after me get called back. After this happened 3 times, I asked the second receptionist (younger lady with dark hair) if I had been accidentally removed from the wait list and told her my name. She replied with a rude, quick "No". I said "The reason I ask is because 3 people that arrived after me have already been called back". She interrupted me, saying "Um, no those people had appointments before you and we're running behind". I would have appreciated the fact that they were running behind being communicated to me. In addition, people were walking in, being checked in, and being called back within 2 minutes while I sat there for 40 minutes. If they had appointments before me, why were they just then walking in and getting checked in? A few minutes after my conversation with the rude receptionist, a nurse called me back. The nurse was very kind and friendly. My blood pressure was up due to the rude receptionist upsetting me, and the nurse took my blood pressure 3 times just to make sure the machine was reading correctly. She tested me for the flu and covid and communicated to me I would wait for the results. I waited an hour and 15 minutes for the doctor to come in, but the doctor was also very nice and professional and explained my flu diagnosis and how to treat it. I gave 2 stars for friendliness because of the doctor and nurse's kindess, but the receptionists need to learn to treat sick patients with patience, dignity, and respect and to communicate properly.

This has to be the nicest, cleanest, most professional lab facility I have ever been to. I went in around lunchtime, expecting delays and lots of impatient people. What I experienced was far from this. The assistant, was very professional and courteous. There were two other patients and they handled each of us with respect and due diligence. I plan on coming to this location for ALL my lab work in the future! Plus, I have been recommending this place to all my friends and colleagues.

Have absolutely no hesitation to go to Regional’s Immediate Care Center - Eastside. I have been there three times and am thoroughly impressed. I have NEVER had to wait. Every time I have been there I have been cordially greeted and efficiently processed. They have all my medical records from the Regional Hospital system, including all of my insurance information. I don’t even have to show my insurance cards. I simply sign in, and am ushered directly to an examining room. Within minutes someone comes in to review why I have come and to take my vitals. In less than 10 minutes later, the Dr. comes in. Today, my doctor was Dr. Arndt—delightful personality and professional demeanor. He checked my problem, talked with me about it, answered all my questions even without my having to ask, sent a Rx to my pharmacy, wished me well, and bid me goodbye. I began signing in at 2:00 on the dot and was walking out at 2:32. I can’t beat this kind of service ANYWHERE!!!!!

STD Testing FAQs

  • Where should I get an STD test in Cliffside?

In a doctor's office, a health clinic, or an urgent care center, you can get an STD test. If you're experiencing symptoms, it's best to visit a doctor's office, where they can also treat you or issue you a prescription. While some Cliffside clinics and urgent care centers allow walk-in appointments, it's advisable to make an appointment ahead of time to prevent excessive waits.

  • How long does it take to get STD test results?

Various testing are required for various STDs. Depending on the type of STD test you took, you may receive your results in two to ten days. Some outcomes may be immediately available. Your doctor may be able to diagnose an STD through a physical examination. In some cases, your doctor's office may only contact you if your test results are positive.

  • How much does an STD test cost in Cliffside?

The cost of STD testing is governed by several factors, including where you are tested, the type of test you need, and if you have health insurance. Some Cliffside clinics may offer free testing or testing on a sliding scale based on your income. Because of the cost, don't put off obtaining an STD test. With your doctor's office, discuss the cost and payment choices. Delaying STD treatment may have catastrophic implications.

  • Does insurance cover STD testing in Cliffside?

The cost of STD testing is governed by a number of factors, including the location of the test, the type of test required, and whether or not you have health insurance. Some clinics may provide free or sliding-scale testing, depending on your income. Don't let the expense of an STD test deter you from getting one. With your doctor's office, discuss the price and payment choices. Delaying STD treatment could have catastrophic ramifications.

  • How do they test for STDs in Cliffside?

There are around 20 different forms of STDs, each with its own set of diagnostic tests. No single test exists that can detect all types of STDs. Your doctor can help you figure out which tests you'll need. In STD testing, a blood sample or a urine sample may be used. Your doctor may also take a swab from the inside of your cheek, your vaginal area, or another potentially infected place.

  • What STDs can be detected by a blood test?

Blood tests are used to diagnose hepatitis B, hepatitis C, herpes, HIV, and syphilis. In a laboratory, a technician examines a blood sample for antibodies that the body has produced in reaction to disease. The virus's DNA can also be detected by several blood tests. Remember that if you've recently been exposed to an STD and your body hasn't yet produced antibodies, you could test negative even if you have the disease.

  • Can I get a same-day appointment for STD testing in Cliffside?

Many Cliffside healthcare providers offer same-day and next-day appointments, which you may book through Solv. To make healthcare more accessible to everyone, we collaborate with thousands of top-rated local providers. Our physician partners understand that waiting days, if not weeks, for an appointment isn't always the best option, and they share our commitment to simple, accessible health care.

  • How can I book an STD test on Solv?

To find a healthcare practitioner in your area, simply enter your location and search for "STD test" on our website. A list of providers and available appointments can be found on the following page. Choose the most convenient time and location for you. Make it clear that you've come for STD testing.

  • How long does an STD test take in Cliffside?

If you have a specific STD, inform your doctor so that the necessary test can be scheduled. Otherwise, they'll help you figure out which tests you'll need. The nurse or doctor simply needs a few minutes to get a blood sample, a urine sample, or a swab from the probable infection site.

  • Can I test myself for STDs at home?

Although there are several STD home tests available, not all of them are accurate. The accuracy of any STD test is determined by the quality of the sample taken. For home STD kits, a blood sample, a urine sample, or both are frequently required. Because doctors and nurses have more experience collecting samples, traditional in-office STD testing is the most accurate.

Cliffside STD Testing

STIs (sexually transmitted infections) are fairly common. You may be at risk of developing an STD or STI if you engage in sexual activity (sexually transmitted infection). STD cases have been on the rise for several years, according to the CDC, with 2.6 million new cases reported in 2019. Young people are especially vulnerable to sexually transmitted infections: approximately half of all new STD cases occur in people aged 15 to 24.

It's also possible to have an STD without any symptoms or indicators. You may unknowingly infect people if you are unaware that you have an STD. You may help avoid infection by getting tested for STDs and telling your current and prior sexual partners so that they can be tested as well. It's also possible to have an STD without any symptoms or indicators. General STD testing recommendations are as follows:

  • Everyone should be tested for HIV at least once, depending on their risk level. HIV testing should be done once a year for everyone who has had unprotected intercourse.
  • Once a year, sexually active women under the age of 25 should be tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia.
  • Sexually active women over 25 should be tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia once a year if they have an increased risk of infection, such as multiple sexual partners or a new partner.
  • Pregnant women should be tested for syphilis, HIV, and hepatitis B.
  • Sexually active gay men should have annual syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea tests.
