I’ve had a fever for a few days and was struggling with dehydration. I was able to schedule the same day and waited for all of three minutes. From check in to each staff member to the NP everyone was wonderful. They ran tests and did their due diligence to discover what could be going on with me. Once I ran my tests, I went over and got an IV to assist with the dehydration. I left feeling much better and with peace of mind. I would recommend Neu Med urgent care and IV.

It was very easy to book an appointment online. There was no wait, just a few forms to fill out. The nurse practitioner was knowledgeable and friendly. I got the care I needed, and prescriptions were sent to my pharmacy. I would use them again for urgent care.

I am a person who regularly receives B12 and vitamin shots as well as IV infusions. I had the worst experience this week when it was my first time visiting neumed modern urgent care. The doctor was very rude, did not have a gentle hand, after stabbing me three times to get my bulging vein,  they realize Metal stand that holds the IV bag is broken and that it's the only one in the facility. I have to get up from previously laying down on the table and walk all the way through their facility in pain after being stuck three times because they have one stand to hold an IV bag, don't make the mistake of going here. My arm still hurts and I didn't feel much of a difference.

My foot was swollen due to a fracture - over 5 weeks now, not everything documented 1st by my PCP, Urgent Care and the ER. Instead of an x-ray, I was referred to the ER. I was finally correctly diagnosed on yesterday by a "floating" physician.

Dr. Marco Vela excellent dr great sense if humor. I saw him fir the 1st time at Urgent care ❤ he took care if me and my pain in mt ears with antibiotics and a wonderful shot for pain. As for thw staff @ Urgent Care wonderful and polite. But staff at Dr Habers off the FRONT desk people and the off staff very RUDE. One of them told me i have to hear this all the time. I said well this should tell you something is not right.i told her its sad to hear yoy say this so i will maje sure Dr Milton hears about this cause he probably doesn't even know whats happening in his off. We have been patients of his for over thirty plus yrs. She hanged up phone twice left me on hold and then she put someone else to take my appt fir me and my husband Adan ana Maria Guajardo we LOVE DR HABER HE IS A EXCELLENT DR AND I TOLD HER I AM SURE IF HE KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON HE WOULD TELL YOU ALL TO BE MORE COURTEOUS ESP SINCE HE HAS MANY OLDER PATIENTS LIKE US IN THE MID 60 AND ALL THIS VIRTUAL OFF VISITS IS NEW TO US W THIS PANDEMIC AND WE EXPECT AND DESERVE TO BE TREATED NICELY. IF UT WAS UP TO US WE WOULD STICK TO SEEING HIM IN PERSON HE IS ALWAYS FRIENDLY. SO TELL STAFF TO PUT THEMSELVES IN OUR SHOES. AND TO BE NICER, CAUSE IT WOULD BE SAD TO HAVE TO CHG DR AFTER 30 PLUS HE KNOWS ALL OUR HISTORY AND IS PART IF OUR LIVES HE IS LIKE FAMILY TO US.

Urgent Care is a place I now choose fire my medical needs. The girls out front are sweet and get their job done! Harris is not only professional, but caring and understanding with her patients. She is knowledgeable and has helped me n family when we seek medical attention. I went to the facility on Monday, November 23. They were busy and Harris was not in that day. There was a male NP attending patients. I did not get his name. Well I really didn’t think I got the medical attention I was looking for. He was rushing, I am post Covid so my voice is not normal, I shake and my oxygen levels drop when I do things. He looked frustrated. I wasn’t even given chance to tell him what all was wrong with me. He did take chest X-ray. Then proceeded in sending me to the ER, where I waited 3.5 hours while people with Covid and lord knows what where walking in and some had no mask. So I walked out, did not want to go through that illness again. I just felt like he didn’t want to deal with me so passed me on. I know my lungs are weak and need oxygen at home... I was in tuba Ted 15 days in icu and spent time in rehabilitation hospital to walk and talk again! Why not just get me some oxygen to go home ? Anyway, Now I’ll be suffering until After Thanksgiving! I’ve always told my staff.. off you do not love what you do, then go find it!

Hello, this was my first visit to Fast Aid. My experience was that everything was top notch, other than one minor glitch The the x-ray report was given to me on a dvd-r. My laptop is able to read disks, however it wasn't able to read this one. So I wasn't able to follow up with my PCP later that afternoon. Even if I was able to read the disk it is an older technology that isn't used nearly as much as it used to. It seems like they might want to look into better ways to share information. But it was really no big deal and didn't taint an otherwise pleasant visit. This isn't me complaining, merely providing constructive feedback. Again I will say that overall I was pleased with the services provided. Anyway I am hoping the good service continues, so I know I'll have a place to go for urgent care. To me this was so much easier and faster than trying to get in to see my PCP. It wasn't an emergency so it didn't make sense to me to go to an ER. Fast Aid seems to me to be this go between. It's a great idea. Sort of like the difference between going to the Walgreen's around the corner instead of having to drive all the way across town to go to the grocery store, just to get one or two items real quick. This location is super convenient for me too. Glad they're in town now. Thanks!

This was our first experience at this pedi urgent care and I was very impressed. The staff was incredible and so accommodating to us. Our 6 yr old came in with strep symptoms and was in a lot of pain and discomfort. They accommodated her immediately to ensure she was comfortable while we waited our turn. Even letting her lay down in a vacant room while we waited. They checked on us periodically to let us know where we stood in line and talked so kindly to both of us. Best urgent care experience by far. I have 2 suggestions - 1. Since it’s a pedi focused urgent care it would be lovely to have bright and colorful decor surrounding us while we waited. The walls were completely bare and beige. Something simple like color and bright pictures but can really change a mood. 2. Instead of offering a sucker at the end (with the stickers - thank you) offer brave little boys and girls a toy. I understand the reason to reward them but if their immune system is already compromised it’s not a good idea to introduce high fructose corn syrup, sugar and dyes into their system that’s already fighting. A silly cheap toy would be just as rewarding without being detrimental. The stickers were great though and definitely made her smile!! Overall- really positive experience!!

I went in with a dog bite to my hand. It was a deep puncture. I was in so much pain. They cleaned my hand ,took X-rays and put a splint on it. I had a Tetanus shot as well. They were so compassionate, kind and thorough. My appointment was at 5:45 and I was on my way home by 7 pm. I did not wait at all to see the medical staff. I was prescribed antibiotics and Motrin and this morning, I woke pain free. I am so grateful to the entire wonderful staff. I just cannot day enough good things about this place. I recommend it highly. This is where I’ll be coming from now on. I had called several other places before this and the other places wanted me to report my dog , they told me I’d have an extremely long wait and then my husband called Southwest Urgent Care. What a wonderful difference! I felt at ease immediately and they took such good care of me. I am beyond satisfied with their service. They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, yet friendly, kind and patient . One of the best experiences I have ever had at a clinic. I may be gushing, but they certainly deserve accolades!! Thank you so much from a very satisfied and happy patient.

I reported to the front desk and told them I had an appointment to be tested at 7 pm. I was told to wait outside and I would receive a text when they were ready to see me. On the website I saw where I could fill out some paperwork which I did. The front desk came out to get me and asked for my paperwork. I told them that I had filled it out on line. The young lady said”ok, we’ll just need some initials.” I was led to a room where I was given copies of the paperwork I had already filled out on line with “x”s for my initials. I went ahead and initialed each “x”. The nurse came in, took the paperwork from me and told me, “But you didn’t fill out the rest of the information.” By this time I was more than frustrated with the whole situation and the nurse sensed it. She offered to finish filling out the paperwork. I would like to mention that this was none of her doing. The rest of my experience was actually very good. This is the second time we use this urgent care clinic and will probably use it in the future. Just need more attention at the front desk.

I have 2 toddlers go to the daycare and when 1 get sick then the other one will be next. That’s why my kids are their regular patients as they get sick all time. I usually booked the appointment but then one time I was told “first come first serve, appointment was just for the paperwork”. Ok fine, next time I walked in with no appointment and was told “no walk in accepted, appointment only”. I was so confused as what to do because the management kept on changing their mind. My kid was sick I couldnt wait until tomorrow so I left to another urgent care that day. Tonight, I made an appointment, as I walked in the receptionist already knew by confirmed the name. She was quickly get us a room. The nurses were very thorough and professional. When the dr walked in; I was so happy and felt so lucky when I saw that was Dr Jeannie Huynh. She is the reason why I came back to this place after many issues we had. She always explained the cause and then the treatment so clearly. She always gave the correct diagnosis. I wish they have her as a regular dr at this location.

I waited for 6 hours at Texas childrens urgent care with my toddler who had 104.2 fever so I decided to try here. Got in very quick even when they was busy and very nice. The only problem which was very stressful is that I had my husband and me with our sick 2 year old and 5 month old. They told me 1 parent per room but I couldn’t handle both babies by myself so they split us up. My 2 year old was screaming for me but COVID protocol they couldn’t put us together. It was stressful not being in the same room together and having to hold my baby down so the doctor can check him. The doctor didn’t understand why they didn’t put us together as well. I made it clear to every nurse and staff I saw that I had both kids there and had to run back and forth to try to help my husband and my baby. They was really nice and professional but it made it a hassle and Texas childrens didn’t have a problem with us being in the same room. Just didn’t want to wait for 6 hours to be seen.

Waited a bit after being admitted but there were obvious more urgent patients that needed immediate cate. Staff was friendly and thorough; made an effort to make sure I understood what was happening and next steps for my busted big toe. Showed me how to wrap it up properly and gave some guidance on activity levels and healing time. Sent xrays and a report (unlike other urgent cares) home with me for follow up care needs. The nurse was great! Kept the mood light despite my pain level and frustration with having to be there in the first place. He was able to make much needed candid conversation in the stressful situation and took the time to show his true care for my wellbeing. Incredibly refreshing for an urgent care clinic. The kind lady at check in also took the time to explain that PrimaCare also works with VA benefits - being a future mil spouse this is new knowledge and I am forever grateful for her explaining how and what plans they work with. Having to go to an urgent care isn’t a great experience to begin with, but this is the best urgent care experience I’ve had in years!

The wait time was short and they accepted my insurance. I found out that you can also set an appointment online through Solv in advance. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. The building is decorated really cute and is very clean. I saw Dr. Jagannath she is wonderful. It’s my second time seeing her and I have to say she cares about her patients and takes her time to talk to you. She gave me exactly what I needed to get better and answered all my questions. This is the best urgent care near me. Every time I can’t get a doctor’s appointment and I don’t feel good that’s the best place to go to. They are always full because they are professional and efficient. It’s worth the wait time because your health issues get solved at any time of the day even on the weekends. The nurses are always very sweet and the front desk ladies are fast, and very professional. Thank you very much NextCare UC Staff you are a blessing to us.

Always love coming to Aggieland for our family tailgate. Unfortunately, I tripped and fell face first on the rocks. We immediately loaded up and headed to the Urgent Care. We walked in and we’re immediately greeted and given paperwork that was made to be quick and simple. The nurse was waiting for me to sign and took me back immediately. PA Taylor came in and took a look and agreed stitches were going to be needed. He ensured that everything was appropriately numb and throughly cleaned my wound. He was concerned with getting stuff all over me when he started cleaning. He took great care to block my face so he could irrigate the wound well. He did a fantastic job with the sutures and I was up and outta there in no time. This team was awesome and ensured that I was taken care of and back at my tailgate in less than an hour and half. Can’t beat that! Thank you to the team for taking great care of me.

First of all, it is very helpful and really streamlines the process to be able to do all paperwork, history, and download insurance card the day before the appointment online. That probably cuts out a good 20 mins or more of time. Then because of covid, they are seeing patients in our vehicles in a designated area in the back of the parking lot. It’s an organized, quick process. The nurse practitioner Beth came out on time, was very friendly, thorough & informative. The process only took about 15 mins including assessment and nasal swab for covid test. And she called me within 20-25 mins later with the result. Yes I was pleased and impressed. I will go back there if urgent care needed again. And yes I would absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone. Booked my appointment online on the urgent care website. They did not charge me at all. Not even the urgent care co-pay of $10. I’m guessing they will bill me after they file on my insurance.

Wish the Doctor would have done more I took my son sick she tested him for flu cake back negative, my son ended up still sick 2 days later so I take him to our Doctor and they tested him for flu and strep, it came back that he had both! They never tested him for strep he did have it when we went to the urgent care but the Doctor there said his throat looked fine when in fact it wasn’t, he said it was hurting! She was also questioning about my thermometer if it was working because my son’s temperature was to high because it came back he didn’t have the flu! Well like I said maybe they should have tested him for strep and they would know why his temperature was high but they didn’t! We waited for almost two hours for nothing. I will be going back in the future but hoping it will be another Doctor

Booking online was super helpful, but not really useful on the customer end, however, it did warn me that I was not booking an appointment, but rather reserving my spot in a long line. I still waited almost an hour before we were seen. Our doctor and nurses were very friendly and accommodating for my sick, scared and anxious 7 year old. Our doctor was knowledgeable, empathetic and kind towards both of us. She asked questions that were pertinent and able to be answered by my 7 year old. Dhe never used "medical" terms that went over my head, and always asked if if understood. That doctor made me feel much better walking out of the visit. (I wish I remembered her name 😫) The actual location was very clean and kid (and covid!) friendly. I have and will continue to recommend this pediatric urgent care facility to any and everyone I can. -jules alvarado

Wait today was 45 minutes when I had an appointment for a set time. Also, I called Wednesday for appt, but Urgent Care closed. I went online and got appt for Thursday, which was confirmed. I showed up but no staff anywhere in sight. I called, got no answer. Stopped by and called on Friday, with no response. So I went on line again and made appt for today, Sat. Not too happy about all this, especially when this was a return visit for a bleeding ear that I was in there for 10 days ago. Today doctor nice, but he says I need to see a specialist who, of course, I can't reach on the phone until Monday. All the while I have pain inside my ear canal and on side of my face. So, I'm clearly not a happy camper. However, when I was in the facility, all the staff very nice

I have been trying to get tested for Covid. I had a terrible experience with on site. I called AFC Urgent Care Katy location. The lady who answered the phone ( sorry I don’t know her name) was sooo helpful. Told me about an appointment that just came available. Helped me fill out the forms. Explained that my husband needed to get tested. She said unfortunately there wasn’t any openings for the next two days. I got off the phone to finish the paperwork and wait for my teleconference. My phone rang and it was the sweet lady that I originally talked two calling me back telling me of an opening that just became available for my husband. Thank you so much. Spoke with the Dr. and both of us are set to get tested. Thank you so much for all that the staff did for us! Everyone we spoke to were wonderful!!!!!!!

Solv. was difficult to use to set up virtual appointment and following up. I had signed in for COVID screen as an in clinic visit. Then because I'm an adult I had to set up virtual visit with Solv. I was skipped over and when Jennifer called to tell me, I was disconnected from my virtual wait. She gave me a number to call, it only had one option - leave a voicemail and they would return my call the next business day. I set up another virtual meeting and it took a really long time to get a response even though the site says - Someone will be with you in 5 min. Even when I was next in line the wait was long. The facility and staff at Urgent Care for Kids were excellent and saw me within a few minutes of my scheduled time.

I am a nurse and a mom, which makes me a very busy person. So most the time I don’t have time to be sick, much less spent time going to an urgent care to be seen. Using this telehealth opportunity was a great tool to utilize not only for people who just don’t feel like getting out, but, With our current situation with everyone being asked to stay home, we can still get sick with other things and still have to be treated. This allowed me to be able to speak to the physician, share my symptoms and what’s going on, and I have my prescriptions that I just have to go pick up. I didn’t lose any time from work, and it’s very quick and simple. I would highly recommend this Tele health experience for anyone. Let’s keep each other safe and our providers.

New to the area and needed an urgent care for my son. It was all in Google's hands. We walked in, signed in, our info was taken right away and we weren't waiting long. Only 1 person in front of us in the waiting room but there was a consistent flow exiting. Staff were all very friendly and concerned. We didn't wait long at any time in the process. In the waiting room, once we were taken in to see the PA, to get the EKG and xrays, or get the results. We were in and out without feeling rushed or like anything hadn't been addressed. Seriously, the best urgent care experience we've had and I'm the mom of 4 boys. I would recommend this location to anyone and would be willing to make the trip downtown when we need these services again.

Urgent Care in Texas

Health and wellness are vital considerations for those living under the sweltering Texas sun. The multicultural melting pot has over 26 million residents, all of whom will need to visit a healthcare facility at some point in their lives; many several times a year.

Heat-related problems such as heat rash, heat stroke, and heat exhaustion are common. Because these problems tend to strike fast and target the very young and the very old, waiting in an emergency room isn't always an option, particularly if the condition isn’t life threatening. The dust, heat, dry air, and coal-related industries also bring on problems ranging from sinus infections and asthma attacks, to emphysema and bronchial infections.

With a sizable elderly population on Medicaid and the state’s many immigrants from Mexico and South America who may not have insurance, it is easy to see why urgent care in Texas is so important. The emergency rooms are simply overcrowded with patients whose injuries and illnesses are not life-threatening. But not to worry, the Texas has over 300 urgent care centers within its boundaries.

But if your condition or healthcare needs are not as demanding, there are nearly one hundred retail clinics in Texas to help with minor injuries, illnesses and preventative care services, such as immunizations. Most of these locations operate within pharmacies like CVS or Walgreens while others can be found in larger stores like Walmart or perhaps grocery stores.

For more critical healthcare needs, as well as primary care physicians, Texas has some of the best healthcare systems in the country featuring Baylor Health Care System, Scott and White, Texas Health and even world-renowned specialty hospitals like M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Urgent Care FAQs

  • How much will an urgent care visit in Texas cost?

The price charged at an urgent care, whether in Texas or elsewhere, will be based on the location, and there are no actual standard costs between the clinics. Assuming you are paying with cash, you might come across an urgent clinic that charges you $50 while another situated some mile away charges you $100 for the same services. The standard cost in urgent care where insurance cover is not involved ranges from $100 to $125. This price is generally the standard price of a visit before extra services. There are a couple of additional care services that could make your appointment to an urgent care costly including x-rays and lab tests, medications and injections (such as immunization), casting broken bones, as well as stitches and splints. If you have a viable insurance plan in place, the standard pay will be between $20 – 50 depending on your insurance coverage and whether you are in contact with the provider.

  • Are Texas urgent care centers open after hours?

Most primary care doctor offices are open during routine work hours, Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Conversely, most of the urgent care centers in Texas are available after hours, on weekends, and many holidays. Typical urgent care hours are 8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily, although location-specific hours may vary.

  • Do urgent care centers in Texas take appointments?

Historically, urgent care centers were strictly an on-demand, walk-in healthcare service mode. More recently, as consumer behaviors and expectations have evolved, many urgent care clinics have begun offering book ahead visits, allowing consumers to select a same-day or next-day time that works best for their schedule. Use Solv to find a Texas urgent care center that offers advanced bookings (or appointments) and book online.

  • How do I book an appointment online with an urgent care in Texas?

Solv allows Texas residents and visitors to book urgent care visits online with just a few taps. Same-day and next-day visit times are generally available, and you can search for real-time availability clinics.

  • How can I find an urgent care in Texas who takes my insurance?

Solv allows you to find any of the urgent care and walk-in clinics in Texas, many of which accept most major commercial insurances. Just browse the clinics page to see if your carrier and plan is listed. If you are still unsure, it is best to contact the urgent care center directly for clarification.

  • Do Texas urgent care centers offer virtual visits or telemedicine?

Many urgent care centers, including those in Texas, now offer virtual visits or telemedicine for residents and visitors throughout the state. Virtual urgent care visits are generally booked online whether in advance or on-demand. Clinics that do offer virtual care have a video icon on their profiles.

  • What is the best urgent care center in Texas?

While it would be easy to provide a list of urgent care centers in and around Texas, 'best' is a challenging term to qualify. For some consumers, that could mean the closest location whereas other people may prioritize patient reviews, service costs, availability, or whether or not the provider accepts their insurance. With the list of locations above, use the filters provided to narrow the results to find the best urgent care for your needs.

  • What is Urgent Care?

Urgent care is available to assist patients that are looking for immediate, convenient medical care. In that manner, they are similar to an emergency room. The difference, however, is that ERs are meant to treat major, life-threatening injuries and illnesses while urgent care centers manage life’s minor bruises and bumps. In simple terms, an urgent care is seen as a walk-in health center that focuses in offering non-emergent health care conditions, including the treatment of the typical illnesses and injuries such as fractures and sprains, cuts and burns, scrapes, stings and bites, flu and cold symptoms, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, and much more. Most urgent care facilities offer both diagnostic and preventive care such as well visits, immunizations, STD testing and annual physicals. For regular visits and check-ups on these clinics, you should expect to pay between $20 and $100. The good thing is that most urgent care clinics will accept major PPOs and insurance cover, Medicare, as well as self-pay in the form of credit cards or cash. Urgent care clinics are located in most parts of the country in various regions to offset emergency room visits and provide a gap in healthcare services. They take patients during all hours of operations, which offer a significant convenience to most people who have and continue to undergo the need for sudden and immediate medical attention.
