I had a allergic reaction and my top lip was really swollen. My experience was great, from check in to speaking with the nurse. I felt the nurse was a straight shooter as if I was talking to a friend. The lady who checked me in after I showed her my lips because I had my mask on, she was prepared once the nurse was done speaking with me. I really appreciate the both of them and I am doing better. Thank you again..

Urgent care in Cypress, TX

Cypress is one of the largest unincorporated communities in the United States, a sprawling Harris County census-designated place northwest of Houston along the US-290 corridor with an estimated population exceeding 180,000. The area's size and growth support a dense network of walk-in urgent care clinics — a faster, lower-cost alternative to the ER for most non-emergency conditions. Browse the full Houston urgent care network for extended coverage.

What services do urgent care clinics in Cypress offer?

Urgent care centers throughout Cypress treat respiratory infections, influenza, COVID-19, strep, ear and sinus conditions, UTIs, minor fractures and sprains, skin infections, allergic reactions, eye irritation, and occupational health needs including DOT physicals. Memorial Hermann operates GoHealth Urgent Care locations across northwest Houston, offering digital check-in and on-site labs and imaging. Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital anchors additional outpatient care in the 290 corridor.2

Cypress residents have multiple urgent care brands within minutes of most ZIP codes, including Next Level Urgent Care and CareNow. Most locations offer online or app-based check-in with real-time wait times, making same-day care convenient for families throughout the area.

Does urgent care in Cypress accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most walk-in urgent care clinics in Cypress participate in STAR, Texas's Medicaid managed care program for qualifying children, families, and pregnant women, administered by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.1 Given Cypress's large and diverse population, providers in this area are generally well-versed in STAR billing requirements. Patients should confirm their specific managed care organization (MCO) is in-network, as coverage varies by plan.3 Bring your Medicaid card and photo ID.

How does Cypress urgent care relate to Houston?

Cypress functions as a major northwestern suburb of Houston, extending roughly 20 miles along the US-290 and SH-6 corridors from Beltway 8 to Hockley. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Cypress CDP was among the largest communities by population in Texas as of the 2020 census, reflecting decades of continuous residential and commercial development in unincorporated Harris County.4 While Cypress lacks a city government, it is served by the Harris County road and health infrastructure and connects easily to the full breadth of Houston's urgent care network via the Beltway or US-290.
