Urgent care
Great urgent care! They accepted both my primary and secondary insurance. You can walk in or set up an appointment on line. Quickly tap in your arrival notice on the couple of screens provided. The wait was then minimal, the staff always meet you with a smile and the facility is beautiful. I saw a knowledgeable nurse practitioner who was very attentive and concerned with my leaving with all my needs addressed. When I had an issue that the pharmacy I requested was closed, I was able to quickly have them reroute the meds to one that was open. This will be my go-to location for urgent care when my PCP is not available.

Scheduling was quick and easy to do. Check-in was great with some assistance from the staff at the front desk. And the staff there are so attentive, friendly, and professional. And the level of care that's given there is remarkable. Would I recommend it to my family and friends? Yes! And will I return for care there? Yes!

I was pretty sure I had a UTI so was at Medella right after they opened on a Saturday morning. I was only the second patient and was in and out of there in less than an hour. I’ve used them before and the staff is always friendly and the office is run with great efficiency! I highly recommend them.

I had a allergic reaction and my top lip was really swollen. My experience was great, from check in to speaking with the nurse. I felt the nurse was a straight shooter as if I was talking to a friend. The lady who checked me in after I showed her my lips because I had my mask on, she was prepared once the nurse was done speaking with me. I really appreciate the both of them and I am doing better. Thank you again..

Urgent care in Spring, TX

Spring is a large unincorporated community in north Harris County along I-45, sitting between Houston and The Woodlands, with dense urgent care coverage from Memorial Hermann, HCA, and St. Luke's along the FM-1960 and Cypresswood corridors. Book a same-day visit locally or in urgent care in Houston in under a minute.

What services do urgent care clinics in Spring offer?

Spring urgent care clinics handle the standard load — flu, strep, UTIs, sprains, lacerations, ear infections, pediatric care, sports physicals, DOT physicals, and on-site labs and X-ray.2 Memorial Hermann, HCA Houston Healthcare, St. Luke's Health, and CareNow Urgent Care all operate multiple clinics across north Harris, with Memorial Hermann Northwest and HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress anchoring the area's major hospitals.

Does urgent care in Spring accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most Spring-area urgent care clinics accept STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas Health and Human Services.1 Texas has not expanded Medicaid under the ACA, so eligibility is largely limited to children, pregnant women, and very low-income families — KFF tracks Texas as the state with the highest uninsured rate in the country.3 Spring is one of Houston's most diverse and bilingual communities, and STAR is broadly accepted at corridor clinics.

How does Spring urgent care relate to Houston?

Spring is a census-designated place with roughly 62,000 residents in its core, though the broader 77373/77379/77386/77389 ZIP footprint covers several hundred thousand people across north Harris and southern Montgomery counties.4 The community is tied closely to the broader Houston economy, with significant petrochemical, healthcare, retail, and logistics employment. Patients route along I-45 into urgent care in Houston for Texas Medical Center referrals.

Urgent Care FAQs

  • Are there urgent care clinics in Spring?

Yes. Spring, TX has walk-in urgent care available either directly in town or within a short drive in adjacent communities. Most clinics offer same-day visits for common illnesses and minor injuries, with on-site labs and X-ray where needed. Use Solv to see real-time availability and book a slot before you walk in.
  • Does urgent care in Spring accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most urgent care clinics serving the Spring area accept STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas Health and Human Services. STAR is delivered through several managed care organizations (Amerigroup, Molina, Superior, United, etc.), so confirm with the specific clinic which MCOs they contract with before booking. Texas has not expanded Medicaid under the ACA, so working-age adults outside the standard STAR eligibility criteria typically do not qualify.
  • What insurance do urgent care centers in Spring accept?

Most Spring-area urgent care clinics accept commercial insurance plans (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Humana), Medicare, and TRICARE for active-duty military and veterans. Many also accept STAR (Texas Medicaid). Cash-pay and self-pay options are widely available — average urgent care visit costs run $100-$250 depending on services. Confirm your specific plan and copay with the clinic before booking.
  • Should I go to urgent care or the ER in Spring?

Urgent care handles non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries — flu, strep, UTIs, sprains, lacerations needing stitches, minor burns, ear infections, mild asthma flares — usually for a fraction of an ER bill and with shorter waits. Go to the ER (or call 911) for chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe trauma, difficulty breathing, severe abdominal pain, head injury with confusion, or any condition that feels life-threatening. The nearest hospital ER for Spring residents is Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital.
  • Are there pediatric urgent care options in Spring?

Yes. Spring and the surrounding north Harris County area have multiple pediatric urgent care options, including clinics affiliated with Texas Children's Pediatrics, Memorial Hermann Pediatrics, and Next Level Urgent Care's pediatric program. Most adult urgent care clinics in Spring also see children.
