About CVS MinuteClinic

CVS is a nationwide retail pharmacy headquartered in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. It opened its first walk-in clinic—then known as QuickMedx—in 2000 in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, where it provided healthcare services for only mono, strep throat, the flu, pregnancy testing, and sinus and ear infections. CVS’s purpose is to help people navigate both the healthcare system and their personal healthcare by improving access to care and reducing costs. Its MinuteClinic locations offer in-person and virtual care seven days a week. Today, CVS MinuteClinic has more than 1,100 locations, more than 37 million patient visits under its belt, and more than 40 new family healthcare services. Healthcare services provided by CVS MinuteClinic include diagnosis and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, vaccinations, annual physicals, and monitoring for chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. It also offers treatment for skin, hair, and nail conditions, sleep disorders, behavioral health, and wellness.
