AFC Urgent Care, Farragut - 700 N Campbell Station Rd
The whole experience was excellent.  I’m not very good with computers but the checkin staff was helpful clearly explaining. Nurses were efficient and competent from initial BP check to the shot I had to get at the end of the appt. The PA, Steven, whom I’ve had before, is very competent. He listens and acts accordingly.   I highly recommend AFC on North Campbell Station Rd.

I know this was a walk-in clinic and was surprised to see a scheduling option online. The instructions were fuzzy, and even though it said the appointment time was not a guarantee time, I still found it awkward. It was easy to complete my pre-appointment paperwork online, I showed up earlier than the available appointment with minimal wait time .

I was able to choose a Quest lab location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

I was actually touched by the doctor to find out what was up with my ankle and shoulder. Very professional and a professional and caring bedside manner. He also knew Dr. Willingham, my pediatrician. I'm positive I'm going to start going there for my primary care needs in the future. Spoke to a sweet lady who answered my questions very nicely!! Thanks, Maryville ParkMed!! You're #1.

Farragut Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

According to the CDC, anyone who is sexually active can get chlamydia, but the infection is more common in certain groups. Individuals aged 25 to 40, particularly those with multiple sexual partners, should consider regular testing. Women under 25 and older women with risk factors such as new or multiple sex partners, or a sex partner who has a sexually transmitted infection, should also be tested for chlamydia annually. Men who have sex with men should also consider annual chlamydia screening.

Importance of getting tested

Chlamydia is often asymptomatic, meaning it doesn't always present symptoms, making regular testing crucial for detection. If left untreated, chlamydia can lead to serious health problems, including pelvic inflammatory disease in women and epididymitis in men, both of which can cause infertility. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, preventing these complications. According to the CDC, chlamydia can also increase the risk of contracting or transmitting HIV.
