Pulse Urgent Care Center, Redding Urgent Care - 100 E Cypress Ave, Redding
I was dubious about how the NP, Doctor, or PA (No Name Tag?) was going to treat my ailment. But it is working, so I'm good so far. One of the Staff at the front desk was rude. I hadn't have her HELP Me at check in. With my right writing or texting hand swollen and very painful, she could have been more understanding. In the end she did help me though. I'm glad I have a Pulse Urgent care near where I live and don't usually encounter rudeness. Thankyou

About Gonorrhea Testing

Who should get tested for gonorrhea?

According to the CDC, anyone who is sexually active can get gonorrhea, but it's most commonly found in people aged 15-24. Those who have multiple sexual partners, new partners, or a partner with a known STD should consider getting tested. It's also recommended that pregnant women get tested for gonorrhea as it can cause complications during pregnancy and can be passed to the baby during childbirth.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for gonorrhea is crucial as it often doesn't show symptoms, especially in women, but can lead to serious health problems if left untreated. These complications can include pelvic inflammatory disease in women, which can lead to infertility, and in men, it can cause a painful condition in the tubes attached to the testicles, potentially leading to infertility. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, reducing the risk of these complications.
