Recent Lab Tests Reviews (20)

It was great being able to speak to a Dr. from the comfort of my home. She offerred a close location to be able to take the COVID test as a precaution.

- Verified patient on 3/24

Pre-travel covid test was fast, friendly, easy. And did I mention fast? Results received in less than 24 hours. Very good experience.

- Verified patient on 2/3

Easiest and best covid test experience! At 9 am, I decided I wanted to get tested and the whole process was done with results back by 11 am. Everyone was super friendly as well!

- Verified patient on 1/12

Git my interisland covid test done here. I am from the BI. Staff was awesome and took the time to make a connection with me and explain the proccess. I highly recommend this facility.

- Verified patient on 5/28

could not help, but directed me to ER and said they would not charge for the video call. That was helpful, not to spend time going in person to urgent care if they don't have the facilities to do the testing I need.

- Verified patient on 7/6

Once again another GREAT EXPERIENCE. I have been through Urgent Care Hawaii 4 times. ( for Inter island Travel testing )Staff should be commended on their diligence during our pandemic. Thank you!

- Verified patient on 3/16

We were in and out very quickly (less than an hour) for 6 of us to get travel COVID tested and had NAAT Certified test results within an hour. Still have to pay for this service but allowed us to island hop without quarantine. Very friendly and kind staff!

- Verified patient on 4/28

I came by for a COVID-19 rapid test. Made my appointment prior, and actually got there a bit early. They were able to accommodate me earlier than my appointed time. Got results quickly and rapidly.

- Verified patient on 1/21

In-clinic experience was fast, efficient and professional. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Appointment was made online but did not give enough details-had scheduled a rapid result COVID-19 test but did not know I was in the travel website. It was not indicated when scheduling the appointment.

- Verified patient on 1/3

Reason for my call was to get retested for covid19 as recommended by my PCP. My PCP could place an order for Pali Momi testing location, however, I selected urgent care for its convenient location of Kapolei. The doctor during my virtual call was hesitant in approving my test and questioned my PCP, but ended up allowing the test. I felt as if there was push back and I was not satisfied as I believe during this pandemic, access to testing should be easy.

- Verified patient on 4/3

I’m so new to setting up appointments and scheduling stuff by myself but with the help that I got from two different women, can’t remember their names, they answered all my questions and made it much easier to answer what I was looking for. Helped me set up a different appointment and to get the right tests that I needed.

- Verified patient on 3/4

Took a little longer than we expected but the results were immediately available and we made it to our flight on time. Would recommend the ID NOW test to anyone who needs to travel inter island on short notice.

- Verified patient on 2/15

The medical assistant was very friendly and nice from the start. She explained what type of testing will be done today. Dr. Davis was also friendly and give me all the information I needed before leaving the clinic. Overall , great service and staff !

- Verified patient on 3/25

I started feeling sick and thought I should get a COVID test. I called at 930 am to set up a test. By 11 am I had my results. Very efficient. The staff was caring and concerned. I most certainly will recommend !

- Verified patient on 1/31

Easy breezy. I was a little early and the two ladies checked me in, and was brought to the exam room shortly to perform the swab test. Staff was very friendly and professional. Customer service was good.

- Verified patient on 2/11

I chose this clinic because it was 5 minutes from our condo. Came in and everyone was very pleasant from the moment I came in to the moment I left. The overall time I was in there was probably 45 minutes or so and that included the video chat with the provider and the ordered tests. They made sure I was well taken care of during the entire visit. I would definitely recommend this urgent care to anyone in the Waikiki area.

- Verified patient on 1/11

Dr. Jose was knowledgeable, patient and had a wonderful bedside manner. Jon administered the tests and he was professional, caring and took the time to explain the procedure. Our overall experience with Urgent Care Oahu was extremely positive and we will return for our future needs!

- Verified patient on 1/4

Did telemedicine appointment cause had a runny nose and needed to get a covid test before I returned to work. So easy. Dr. Was super nice. Completely painless.

- Verified patient on 6/12

The ladies at the front check in and the lady who administered my covid test were all very nice and friendly. Staff seemed happy- and I think that makes all the difference when it comes to patient care. Thank you so much!

- Verified patient on 5/20

Scheduled appt time should be time I'm called. Other than that, the receptionist was very pleasant. The girl who swabbed me for my inter-island Covid-19 test was awesome! I'll come back just to see her as she is terrific!

Pearl City Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed. If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed.

Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
